WTS: 10 Maglites! 8x 3D, 1x 2C, 1x 5D and Maglite modder parts

Hello BLF,

Selling some old lights and things I have laying around from my personal collection. Hopefully there are still some maglite modders and fans out there?

We’ve got 7x Black 3D Maglites

1x Silver 3D Maglite

1x Black 2C Maglite

1x Black 5D Maglite

Most of these have been modded. A couple have not. The 2C has not, at least one of the 3D black one shave not been modded. Most of them have custom heatsinks. One of them has an original Maglite LED.

The 5D has a custom made Bi-pin socket for holding halogen bulbs. Several of the mods are incomplete, or could use an LED refresh or some other modifications.

All lights externally are in excellent condition.

Then I also have 4x FiveMega custom aluminum maglite reflectors

Then some custom D cell heatsinks for LED’s, and one C cell heatsink.

These parts were all low volume production custom parts that were not cheap on CPF back in the day. I remember the reflectors were $15+ each and heatsinks were $10+ likely.

Looking for offers for the whole lot, or at least like half of the items. Don’t want to do a bunch of shipments. USA only for this one.

Thanks!

Bump, any interest?

I have a Maglite 3D which is nearly 20 years old. I had not put any battery cells in it for years. Yesterday I tried putting three new D cells and turned it on. To my pleasant surprise, it worked! Amazing flashlight. I bet the spare bulb stored in the tail cap might also be working as well, but I haven’t tried it.

Now I am going to try ‘upgrading’ it with a cheap made-in-China LED bulb, which I found on Shopee Singapore. It costs only S$4.20 or about US$3.10, which is many times cheaper than those replacement LED bulbs found on Amazon USA.

Why are you surprised it worked? Its incandescent, it will work 100 years from now.

PM sent!

BTW, I have got the cheap made-in-China LED bulb and installed it in my old Maglite. And it works!! Very glad to upgrade my Maglite this way.

But I am still using three cheap D cells, which costs only US$1 each.

I have seen the Energizer D cell, which costs nearly US$4 each. Too costly to spend US$12 for three of these more powerful D cells.

My alternative is to buy some plastic adapters that can put an AA cell in the place of a D cell. If I use 14500 rechargeable cell, three of them might make my “upgraded” Maglite even brighter.

Will continue my quest to make my Maglite shine brither.

I’ll take the lot. PM sent. Thanks!
