Thrower or mini thrower with 21700 batteries and USB C charging

Any thrower that uses 21700 batteries and USB C charging? Not too big. Similar sized or smaller than sofirn C8G is ok.

Emissar

Wurkkos TS30S

Convoy has several mini throwers with 21700 battery, and Convoys are excellent lights. Look for Simons store at Aliexpress ,it’s the official Convoy store, Convoy Flashlight Store. Search that store.

+1 for TS30S, very pleased, powerful emitter, Anduril firmware which I am fond of.

The Astrolux EC01 (SST40) has a fairly throwy beam, not as throwy as C8G, but still not too bad. It uses 21700 battery and has USB-C charging. The latest batch appears to now use updated Anduril version.

EC01 is smaller in size than C8G.

Thank you for the suggestion.
Regarding convoy I have already research them before but it’s a bit confusing to know which one is using USB C. The C in the name doesn’t necessarily means USB C I think

Ask Simon he will help you find what you are looking for.

There aren’t many Convoy flashlights that come with built-in USB-C charging yet, but Simon is adding new models with built-in charging from now going forward.

The ones I know with USB-C charging would be the Convoy M21D, which is likely the one you’re referring to.
It uses 21700 battery and has built-in USB-C charging, although the only LED option listed in Convoy store is XHP70.2, which won’t make it a real thrower.

I suppose it’s possible to ask Simon to configure an M21D that uses maybe the CULPM1, SFT40 or XHP35-Hi to get a thrower-type flashlight.

(other USB-C charging Convoy models that I know at the moment would be the Convoy 4X18A and Convoy M3-C.
Convoy M4U uses micro-USB charging.
while some of the Convoy BD series use a built-in proprietary charging.

other side comment: M21C and M21C-U do not have built-in charging, despite the somewhat name similarity to the USB-C charging “M3-C” )

Astrolux FT03 can use this cell along with 26650 or 18650. Might be too big.
Asrolux EA 01 is small and semi throwy.

Some good suggestions in this thread already, but I think Noctigon K1 or Astrolux ft03 will be too big if you want a c8g sized light (approx 45mm) head size . The TS30s is a great light for a great price, but the head size is 55mm, so 25% larger than your c8g threshold.

some recommendations (some already mentioned but I am just reaffirming them lol)

-Convoy m3-c (PM Simon and ask for a different emitter than the xhp70, potentially xhp50 which is thrower or better yet the xhp35)

  • Astrolux ec01 with sst40 (approx 35mm head, throwy, but has usbc and 21700)
  • Sofirn SP35 with sst40 (approx 30mm head, bot very throwy but has 21700 and usbc

-Astrolux EA01 (sst40) - probably the best option - uses TIR optic, throws probably farther than a c8g, uses 18650/21700/26650 abd has usbc, and the price is solid at under $40.

-Astrolux Ea01 (xhp50) - about twice as bright as the sst40 version with about 60% of the throw distance, but along the other benefits (usbc, 21700). It does get warmer quicker tho.

there are others, but I'm having a hard time thinking of them now. These are a good start in my opinion.

Manker U22 III PM1 USB-C Rechargeable Long Range Flashlight
I don’t have it because I don’t like usb charging and prefers tail switch than side switch. But this light looks nice.

Oh that is a great recommendation! I think I want that light now good price too for what you get!
