Has anyone experienced how the e-switch functions on momentary mode. Is it a full press to momentary, or like with a mechanical switches a half press and flash full output?

Got my Ti SST20 4k today. Noticed the Ti version has a plastic ring on the head that the aluminum version does not. It falls out if you turn it upside down with the bezel off. Any idea what’s its purpose?
My guess is the plastic ring is a decorative element.
By hiding the shadow at the edge of the star, it makes the front of the light look brighter when looking into the optic when the light is off.

my guess is the plastic ring is to provide the ledge that supports the perimeter of the optic.
it looks like the Ti metal is thinner than the Aluminium…
the plastic ring makes up the difference
imo the inner face of the ring also offers a convenient place for glow paint;-)
