KC1 keychain light is available now

I have modded a D4V2 Ti with sw45k and another with sw30 and I absolutely love them. Whoever doesn’t have one should jump at this opportunity.

Sorry for being so inquisitive. Can I order DT8 with 219B SW45K choosing another emitter from your website? Or better wait for your website to be updated?

Hi, the options have been added on the site.

Hank, will you sell some Nichia 219b LEDs if we also buy a light from you?

What is the difference between Azhu’s SW35 - D180 Bin vs Hank’s SW35 D200 Bin? Which one would be rosier?

D200 is brighter than D180. But I am sure Andy’s sw35 are D200 too. His sw30 are D180.

Could anybody please advise with the knowledge they have on sw35 and sw45 which one may be rosier? I'm leaning heavily toward 3500, bmjusg because I prefer a warmer color more, but if one is rosier than the other that would take precedence for me.

thanks!

Awesome, just ordered two D4V2 with 219B 3500K. :)

The K on Hank’s sw45k means it will be rosier than sw35.

awesome thank you

sw45 and sw35 are the same in rosiness, with the sw35 being warmer, of course. But Hank does not offer sw45, he offers sw45k which are significantly more rosy than sw35. They are also 10% brighter. I hope that helps.

It does :+1:
Wanted to order a D4V2 with sw35, but now i switched to sw45k.

What a nice option. Beside the Nichia E21A :sunglasses:

Before I order the D4V2 with sw-45k’s… does anyone know if the version of Anduril on this light is at all restricted on the top end for these leds? I have a version of Anduril that I run on my others that changes the voltage colors to something more standard, green/amber/red and I hope I could just drop this firmware on as is. But, it allows the FET full run.

Personally, since that large of color temperature difference is more significant than rosiness differences between standard 219B’s and the special SW45K, I would say get the 3500K based on what you said.

Since both should make really good light, however, I would not call my position a disagreement with those saying get the SW45K. Just a different priority.

Yes, you need to run the special firmware for Nichia 219 which restricts the FET output.

I was afraid of that… now I will have to find source and figure out what I did the last time and get the darn compiler set up to make the hex file… The old machine I did that work on died a horrible death. Crap, Crap, Crap! I am not a coder.

Unnecessary. Flash it with your firmware and just use a reasonable high capacity cell and don’t worry about it.

May just have to try that. I have some of the high capacity 10A LG cells and maybe a couple of the Samsung lower discharge rate cells as well. I have built a few FW3A’s with 219B’s and have a modified firmware for less than full power. I have never felt like taking apart a light with the extra RGB boards and doing an led swap. My eyes just are not good anymore. I am finding soldering to be getting more difficult by the month almost.

Hi Hank,

Can D4V2 with 219B’s be ordered with the KR4 constant-current driver & the E21A Anduril version (no-FET, no-PWM)? THANKS!

What is the pinkest setup with these 2 emitters? Would a 3500k/4500k tint-mix be warmer than all 18 LED’s being SW45k?
