How do you store your flashlights?

I’m thinking something like this might look kind of cool (to flashlight nerds at least), and get me to use my lights more, instead of them ending up in different drawers, shelves and bins all over the house.

Seems expensive for the size.

I’ve seen some corner curios on here - I don’t have that many flashlights. I’d love to see how people store/display their lights.

I found Muto’s thread w/ cigar boxes, which is great but I’d like to be able to see them.

Might work for little flashlights, but many of mine are far from little. At only 14x12x3.75 inches this is more suited to use as a spice rack. Plastic storage bins is what I use. They are stackable and I can seperate them by type, Huge long throwers are in large bins at the bottom, soda pop size floods in the next bin…also large due to having so many. EDC size is next up, and the tiny keychain size ar in plastic and string strengthened plastic bags, Of course most used lights are in a seperate bin for convenience…that is not including those with batteries installed on end tables, dressers, coffee tables and cabinets throughout the house. All stored lights are stored without batteries inside. Batteries are stored in plastic holders, and are labled based on how married. Due to the variety of lights I have several sets of 4x21700, 3x21700, 2x21700, 2x18650, 3x18650, 4x18650, 2x20700. These are used in both lights and vape mods. Some of the 4x21700 are protected for the Thrunite TN42V2, where the 3x21700 for the Wildtrail WT90 has unprotected cells. I also have many of each size unmarried. Unlike some, I do not attempt to keep batteries for every device specifically. I will have 2 sets of spares for any light I grab, at least. For instance, I have about 6 4x18650 married sets, but have at least 10 lights that use 4x18650 cells. The important thing to remember is the batteries are married to each other, not the device. I lable them with…, date, set a of 4. date, set b of 4 etc. They are stored together, charged together, and used together, but not necessarily in the same light. Since I have probably 200+ of both vape mods and flashlights, having batteries dedicated to each light and mod is not practical. Unfortunately, the TN42V2 is my only 4x21700 device that uses protected 21700 batteries, so it ties up 12 protected 21700 batteries. I am not even considering getting any light using the ne 21800, or whatever size the new cell is. I likewise would not get 14500 lights that use multicells. All my 14500 are single cell lights.

Face down on a designated table.

What you have pictured is no where near enough space.

I don’t store my flashlights, I use them.

Yeah, pretty small, and too pricey to buy several. I searched a lot more on amazon and the web and not finding a large one.

I must have 50+ flashlights, kind of hard to use them all at once, particularly when sleeping!

I live in a medium crime area so I store my flashlights in a TRTL30x6 ISM safe that weighs 3,250 pounds. The door weighs 770 pounds.

Heavy duty! My 2 gun safes don’t weigh that much together.

For those with access to a 3D printer, this parametric wall mount is really neat.

Instead of graphically manipulating the model, changes are made by editing parameters set up by the designer. Things like diameter, number and size of mounting holes, and other dimensions are set by changing variables.

I’m still a newbie at 3D printing, but I was able to fumble through OpenSCAD (freeware) and make a few different sizes.

That’s a great idea. Puts me closer to buying one.

I just store mine on metal document trays in the study. Boring!

Door ledges in the old house. Window seals, computer desk, fridge and some in Plano boxes with charger and extra cells for when I am traveling or camping.

There are several easily knocked over inches from my fingers as I type this.

Mine are everywhere… All over the house. Where ever i am standing in the house, garage, shed, trucks, car, ATVs, or RV. i can see at least one in view. Also when i roll over in bed at night, i either roll on one, or kick one on the floor. When i open the fridge to get a beer i have to move a light… or two.

I just put them everywhere. Anywhere I walk, there’s a light within reach - as how it should be.

Box queens, in their original boxes and “stored” in banker boxes.

Daily-use, on my table right here, like a flashlight orgy.

Semi-used and/or “rotated in”, in canvas sling-bags.

I would love to have a multi-shelf glass cabinet with lights for illumination at night to store my flashlights, preferably near my WFH desk.

While at work alone in my rather quiet room, I have found some solace in those small blinking auxiliary LED colourful lights in some newer flashlights. Now I am waiting for the arrival of an Astrolux MF01S with blinking 18 LEDs.

I can certainly relate to this. :+1: :person_facepalming: :person_facepalming:

All have designated storage locations based on intended use.

Some rooms have a dedicated light, others are in easy to grab locations and one is only used for emergencies and is in a dedicated spot at can be found by touch in pitch dark. Which has happened once.
Also 5 live in the car in designated locations and can be found by touch in pitch dark (though the car has LED upgraded trunk and cabin lights).

The Moon RC2s float but end up back in the designated spot eventually.
