Question about this Nichia 219a?

I bought this Copper Prometheus Beta QR years ago. I know it has a 219, but don’t know much else. I contacted Dark Sucks/Prometheus asking about the tint and all they said was it is a NW LED. Whatever…

Anyone remembers the first gen Beta QR’s and have more info on it?

Here is a shot of the LED and the awesome copper patina.

Thanks!

That is a 219A. Good led, but by todays standards… very weak. Good looking light!

Visual LED identification.

thanks for the great photos

> asking about the tint

nominal 4500k color temperature, nominal 90 CRI

the beta was my first intro to High CRI,

when I took this photo of its beam:

I began to understand the importance of High CRI

I bought it from Jason in person, at his shop in Cali, in 2015, and this is the actual measured color temp and CRI of my light, measured on his spectrometer:

hope you enjoy yours as much as I did mine

I have continued my affair with copper hosts to this day…
Lumintop Copper Tools and Maratacs:

My most used color temperature is still a 4500k Nichia, 219b

@jon_slider

Thanks for the reply!

Are the other lights the Lumintop Tool? I have been looking at those.

I have a D4V2 in 219b 4,500k and a Noctigon KR4 in a E21a 2,700/3,500K mix and 7.5A on the way.

yes, the Lumintop Tool is my favorite AAA
trivia,
Lumintop also manufactured our Prometheus Beta lights…

which feature sets interest you?
not all options are available today

there are different metals: aluminium, copper, titanium
and different tailswitches: electronic, mechanical
and different LEDs: xp-g3, xp-g2, nichia 219c
and different optics: pebbled Tir, or reflector

this is the one I would recommend, with a Nichia LED knowing what is available now.

or if you prefer aluminium (and lower price), they have those too, but not with a Nichia LED (Im a Nichia fanatic, I dont leave home without it… lol)

Didn’t know that.

I’ll have to grab that copper Tool AA down the road. Just bought the KR4 E21a tint mix and a day later Hank got 219b’s back in stock, so I had to grab a D4V2, which I wasn’t planning for. Also bought a bunch of Convoy S2+’s in different emmiters and an FW3A.

At least it’s a cheaper hobby than my other ones.

LOL
congrats and enjoy
I agree, cars are much more expensive… this is chump change… LOL
I can buy a Lot more lights…

That is a very nice flashlight Screwdriver!
