This looks to be a stainless ring that screws into the front of the dropin. I have one and only one of these and someone made it a mule at some point. It appears that it is likely a 219b sw45k single mode dropin. Wish it had other modes, but beggars can’t be picky.
Let me know if you have one or a dead dropin that I can remove one from.

It’s an Aluminum ring that distorts very easily —— I ordered 3 way back when because the slots on mine were messed up —- the drop in itself takes a standard driver once you pop out that other setup
Sportac hasn’t updated their web sight since 2017. Their still in production Illumination gear has them with newer LED’s listed XHP35, Osram CSLPM1, Luminus SST-20. Treat yourself and buy a new one, prices are good. SPORTAC I’ve got six of the dropins all in host, only one has a hair trigger two-mode change. All rock solid none have failed, plenty of use with 2-CR123A’s or single Lithium-ion. Prices listed are less than when they first came out.
Are they not potted? Good to know, I would like to drop in something around 4 to 5 amps. I did notice that is is about 2mm longer than my other triples, it fits and L2T well but is to long for the P1D as the bezel does not screw down all the way.
Do you know if the newer ones are any shorter?
They’re not potted — If I remember correctly the driver is soldered to a brass ring and then it’s press fit in the module —the crazy part is the shelf is aluminum threaded into the brass —I modded several —the stock LEDs are on an aluminum pad —I salvaged one with some original Nichia — I used a 4.4 amp driver —I also put fets in a couple with an updated copper board with dedomed XPLs (does that give you a hint of the age — before the Hi came out) — I have that one in a P1D — I ground out the stop in the head so the dropin basically hits against the lens

Just found this thread on modding one… solid coppers that I have built really make this look less interesting…
They actually handle heat well —I fooled around with these during the first stages of triple builds —no copper drop ins at the time —- when i finally build some copper drop ins I wasn’t all that impressed with the copper —the lights are a lot heavier and there’s only so much heat a P60 host will dissipate —even with one of those high dollar heads —I did find the P1D to be the best for heat
