FandyFire STL-V6

OK 500yd's is impressive I'm sold on the STL-V6, i did not think the TK70 would do the claimed 720 meter throw, that would have to be bounced off a giant reflective bill board sign on the side of a motor way, from what Ive seen on the net 400yd was good but i think your right over 500yd,s your pushing it up hill.

A fair while ago my mate had a TK70 it would not throw more then 400 meters, it kept drooping down in out put all the time and not from turbo either and sort of blinked if you get me, it was one of the very early ones i believe there was a fault and fenix replace a few. Even the one i seen reviewed on you tube from goinggear (not on the range test) looks like it kicked down in high mode after only being on a very short time.

I found my mates did not throw to much further then my good old TR-1200 my wife brought me for $35 bucks well not $270 of throw more any way, my mate payed over $300 us for his shipped + batteries as it was when they first came out and shipping to Australia was not cheap due to the size and bulk and my TR-3T6 i got later on i believe had better spill as the TK70 was stuck in the middle between throw and flood, but he did only use cheap nimh in it to be honest and it was a faulty one, models after it have not had the same problems with kicking down way to early.

I have them both the FF STL-V-6 and the the SR-STL-V2 they throw the same and they sure are hard to beat, for the money....

Hi friend, in your opinion FandyFire STL-V6 CREE XM-LT6 2 has a stronger throw than Fenix TK35 ? For mi it is important to know it. Thnaks

A TK35 is not even in the same league as the FandyFire STL-V6. The Fenix TK35 is not really a 200yd thrower. I had one and got rid of it. The Jetbeam BC40 will out throw a TK35.

Are you sure that Jetbeam BC40 has a stronger throw than TK35? Did you test the TK35? Thanks for your news.

Is it just me or is the fandyfire stl-v6 the same as the trustfire t1? http://www.lightmalls.com/trustfire-t1-cree-xml-t6-1600lm-hight-brightness-long-range-torch-light-2-x-18650

Yes. The BC40 I had though had a smooth reflector. On the op ones it may not be the case.

No that has a smaller head and reflector, but is a good light

It looks like it. May be it is the same :)

I have a Trustfire TR-1600 that is just like that one. It won't touch the STL-V2 or STL-V6.

What do you mean?

Guys,

I'll put it to you like this. And Rick tried to tell me about a year ago. I didn't listen to him at first. I just kept on buying other XM-L throwers.

Take my word on it. Rick and I have most of all the good and higher priced XM-L throwers. And none of them for the money spent will beat the SkyRay STL-V2 or FandyFire STL-V6. That includes the Olight M3X, Crelant 7G5, Fenix TK41, Olight SR51, ThruNite Catapult V3, Sunwayman T40CS, or Sunwayman V60C. Heck even the Uniquefire UF-V2 for the money is a very nice light. But the FandyFire STL-V6 I have is probably in my top 3 XM-L throwers.

And remember I said for the money above.

I never said it would out throw the Crelant 7G5 so don't ask.

I love throwers and I can't find any way to justify getting another one because of the performance and price of my Skyray STL-V2. Really if you just need one thrower get this and you are done. If I ever see a good deal on this light I'll probably pick up another one just because it's too good to pass up.

The FandyFire STL-V6 is 9 and 3/8" in length and weighs only 12oz with 2 18650 batteries.

Thanks Brad... It was hard to believe what the FandyFire STL-V6 could do against $100+ lights so I bought the SkyRay STL-V2 for $10.00 more and they are the exact same light and these boys can throw with the best of of them!!!!

Rick,

Any light as I have already told you on the phone last week that gives the M3X all it wants and then some at 100yds to where I have trouble as you know when I was telling you the better thrower is one bad light. You can buy almost 3 of the FandyFire STL-V6 for what you pay for 1 M3X. And if the M3X does out throw it it is by maybe just a little bit.

I have just known there are the new barreties: LC Protected 18650 Rechargeable 3.7V "3600mAh" Li-ion Batteries

Can I use them with FandyFire STL-V6 or ... which battery can I use?

That's what I kept trying to tell you. It is so close that your looking at them for a long time trying to pick a winner.

I use TrustFire 2400 18650, or Hi-Max 2600 18650.
