that is a cool light, I was hoping for a stainless steel based on the name though

waiting for shipment…

Hi friend, the flashlight uses 6061 T6 Aircraft grade aluminum material with anodized finish. Calling this name since it looks like a "Small Steel Cannon". What do you think of it?

I believe you would like it! Don't forget to share your feeling on the product then

Just pre-ordered.

Nice! Almost same length like E05.

I don’t know if I like the part about being shocked, though. Maybe I can wrap it in electrical tape…

Thank you for your support!

Doesn’t have USB C charging right?

Wuben -

Can you please answer these questions:

1. It states that it is compatible with NiMH and Alkaline. Is it FULLY compatible? Obviously, the brightness will be lower vs 14500, but there are some other compatibility considerations:
1a. Does the breathing function work when using NiMH and alkaline?
1b. Does the battery level indicator function work properly when using NiMH and alkaline? Or does it only work for 14500?

Thanks.

Would like to know about this too…

Thanks WubenLight.

Hello, there shows the properties of different batteries, please check the picture below for details.

Yes, this is an edc that can replace the battery at any time.

The battery level indicator does not function with NiMH AA cells. I ran my light for 2 hours on a Ladda AA battery and the switch LED stayed blue the entire time. During this run, I turned the light off and back on several times. When the light is turned on, the switch LED illuminates solid blue for about 5 seconds then either turns off or goes back to breathing, if I have breathing enabled. After 2 hours, I turned off the light and it would not turn back on. I checked the cell and it was 1.0V.
The light is still working fine, it just won’t turn back on with a depleted cell.
I’m going to run the tests again, later, to see what happens if I never turn off the light, to see how low the cell gets.

Update- just ran the light with the supplied Li-Ion cell. The breathing light stays blue forever, but at some point between 3.6V and 3.5 V the switch led will turn red on startup only. As long as the light is on, the breathing LED will stay blue, never turn red.

The red, low voltage indicator, only works for Li-Ion cells and only when the light is turned on.

Update- The switch LED does flash red while turned on, with an Alkaline cell that is low.

Thanks TexasToasted.

Does it work with alkalines?

It does:

Update- I’ve had the light running a long time on Alkaline AA and the blue breathing light has changed to a flashing red light.
If I turn it off, the switch LED goes back to blue breathing light. Turn it on again and I get the red flashing light.
I will have to break out my bench power supply and do some proper testing.
