Tailcap spring tool

Hello, looking for proper tool to remove or tighten sprint ring on S2+.

Is this the right set?

Y'know, you can shorten the link yourself to this:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07X36N7MB

(I can't stand link shortening websites.)

Those will work fine if the tips fit the holes in the retaining ring.

Or you can use tweezers if you do not torque beyond their capability.

Some people use two nails quite sucessfully.

I have used all of the above sucessfully at one time or another.

those look nice
I broke my expensive Knipex snap ring pliers, they cost more than that whole set.

let me know if you like them when they arrive, I might copy you

The tips are .067 which is about the thickness of two paper clips together. Should be ok, I guess.

Package came today. The tip is way too big. I will keep it because it seems useful, but not for flashlights.

Sorry to hear that they won’t work on your lights. But like you said, they are useful to have around.

Good luck on your continued search…. :white_check_mark:

Something like this works very well (someone mentioned this tool in an earlier message thread, I think possibly Tom E).
(I can’t buy from Amazon, but was able to get something that looks like below from other online stores that ship to my country.)

thats too bad
thanks for reporting your experience
hope you find a better option

Grind it down.

Works perfect for S2, C8, ect. Harbour freight

Yep… Looks like those come with interchangeable tips of different sizes & shapes. :white_check_mark:

Bingo,.I just ground down a set of needle
nose pliers with a hand file and that worked fine.

I took a dremel with a sanding drum to one of mine - works like a champ now.
