I would just get the D4v2 aluminum with raised switcb and Nichia 219b sw35 or Nichia 219b sw45k emitter and call it a day. You will spend $50, if you want floody optics add and/or magnetic tail cap add a few more dollars.
You’ll have a pocket rocket with one of the best emitters. If you want to get both sw35 and sw45k you would still be at $100.
I have considered the D4V2 or the D4SV2, they are not quite the form factor i am looking for at this time, plus the cost being a bit high, my budget is about $60 for two lights. $50 for two would be ideal but might not get anything good.
FYI if you do decide to get a D4V2 at some point, you can email Hank Wang using the contact email at the bottom of the webpage (intl-outdoor) and he can do some customization for you. He can put a backlit switch on the aluminum models for instance, or mix leds of different tints.
Hey Bort, that review that said it had a green tint was a SST40 6500k LED, and was posted back in 2019. I bought the 5000k version two months ago and it does Not have any green tint that i can tell. Perhaps you might want to reconsider and be sure to get the Neutral tint 5000k version. Trying to help.
Its crazy being a flashaholic on a tight budget. I only have the money from the lights i sold to spend on new lights.
I used my XM-L Convoys a fair bit which is why i miss them. Despite being almost 10 years old.
I would like to upgrade them becasue i can’t reach for them these days since they are gone. But even better lights but for the same situations would be nice.
That said if i had some cash to spend i would upgrade my whole collection (i kept some that are still XM-L) and even buy some specialty lights
If you want lumens, I have and strongly recommend KR1vn, it’s a modified version by Vinh with SBT90.2. Get the aluminum for cost. The other two practical high powered flashlights would be the Acebeam L35 or the Acebeam E70.
If you want an alternative for quality emitter and not feeling the D4v2 sw35. Consider the Bobralight, a modified Zebralight SC64c with your choice 219b emitter (the sw35 and the sw45k are his lot popular lights). You can find him here on Re-edit to see if he is still taking custom orders. Below are other good references that have helped me:
I have a Nitecore P30 so no need to buy a C8 but i am considering a Convoy M21B with SST40 because you are correct that its about the best all purpose light and is essentially the M1 but with 21700 support.
And double the lumens
The Convoy you link to is a 21700 light, it will be thicker and a bit longer than the one in your picture. The choice in this segment is almost unlimited, there’s no brand without several different models in this format so I think you should start with defining a bit more what you want: the higher capacity of the 21700 or the lower weight and smaller size of the 18650? Side-button, rear-button or a combination? Throw or spill or something in between? Simple UI or complicated like Anduril? CW, NW, WW and hi-CRI or not?
One I’m looking at myself is the Sofirn SP31Pro, don’t need it but still want it for fun, especially now they are starting to introduce colors……
For your own safety, You should add None, and sell the ones you have.
You have demonstrated by your numerous posts of stupid questions, and your troll responses in which you argue with those who give answers, that you are a low-IQ person that lacks the necessary intelligence to safely handle and operate flashlights.
Though Black Friday (sales) are just over a month away i am finalizing my intended light purchases.
Right now i am looking at replacing two lights i sold with these upgrades, the Convoy M21B and Convoy S21A.
My criteria are a tube light and all purpose light, most lumens and reliable. And 21700.
Are these the best choices?
Just got a Convoy 3x21a with 90.2 LED from Alibaba.com. Quite nice. Highly recommend you to give this some consideration, if you especially like 21700 flashlights.
But couldn’t find this either at “Convoy flashlight Store” in Ali Express, or Banggood.
