Kewl..

I remember when it was nigh impossible to break the 1000lm barrier in a drop-in, just because of the lousy thermals.

Yep. Even 540 lumens was a pretty stout performer back when the XML U2 was the big boy.

Long live the P60. Great drop-in and if 3500 mAh battery isn’t enough. Aliexpress also has the KDLITKER E6-21700 P60 Flashlight Host. A P60 host using 21700 batteries. I bought a few and moved some high drain dropin’s into them. At $14.80 it’s cheap enough to abuse as a daily tool.

Wow, who’d have thought the P60 would get some new life? It was the first really major widespread modular LED component (I know, was incandescent even before that). Engineered right and tightly integrated with the proper host for a useful thermal path… and yeah, amazing to cross above 1000 lumens. I still have an old Pila G2 with a P60 drop-in from Lumens Factory, kept more as a curiosity (love the design) as other smaller lights I’ve got just blow it away. But wow, this P60 development is encouraging.

I have been looking for the 4/6 mode driver from KD, not listed on their site, on 3/5 mode drivers. Does the bottom of the driver only say CDM? I think it is the BD39 with a different mode set or a 17mm H1-A. they seem to be very decent drivers in the 4/6 mode configuration.

Could you send a link to the dropin? My dropin with the 4/6 was ordered in 2018 and I love the driver.
