Which TV show did you watch lastֻ

Home Improvement with Tim Taylor!

super funny show, I was born after that time but really cool to see how everything looked back then!

well, we watched Season 1 Episode 1 of Breaking Bad.

it reminded us of all those “Revenge of the Dad” type movies:
Taken, Nobody; you have probably seen more of those than us.
we will watch a few more…but it better get A LOT better.

Breaking Bad had a few slower first season episodes, the writers took a bit effort to develop characters so they could “break bad” during time.
It is one of the best TV shows ever made if you like crime/drama in a TV show format.

I am currently watching King Of Queens!

Ted Lasso.

better than The Queen’s Gambit
by a whole lot. will watch more.

here is why to watch Ted Lasso:

a. “You gonna give me the cold shoulder and the silent treatment. That’s a combo. Does it come with a medium drink?”

b. “In my mind, you gotta have three things to be a Premier League team.

1) You gotta play physical. 2) you gotta give 100 percent until the final whistle and 3) you gotta be sponsored by a Middle-Eastern airline.”

During this Tokyo Olympics, there are many live telecast on TV of many sports each day. I like watching swimming, because it is not too long. Boxing is also good, with a lot of fast actions.

But rugby, football/soccer, and basketball are too long and boring. I don’t see the point of using professional players in these team sports to compete with other national teams that field mostly amateurs.

Good to see the inclusion of skate-boarding and moutain-biking into the Tokyo Olympics. These are contemporary games that many of the new generations do and enjoy.

BTW, I wonder how many people do hammer-throwing or discus-throwing for fun nowadays.

My discus has “Wham-O” written all over it…

Just finished re-re-watching Still Game (on Netflix).

Just started re-watching Letterkenny (on Hulu).

Started watching Counterpart since BLF members in the other thread mentioned it. Liking it so far.

Hmm, at least superficially, it sounds like “The Fringe”.

Fringe was more of an X-files-ish thing where they had a weird thing of the week deal while they sorta advanced the main story line periodically.
I swear they made crap up as they went, kinda like Lost, but it turned out somewhat better, not great, but better than that disappointing piece of…you get my drift.

Counterpart pretty much is all about the main storyline, but has lots of intrigue, characters, backstory, and history to tell. (oops, thats redundant, oh well)
I enjoyed it quite a bit.
People you think are good/evil may or may not be, etc… and the first J.K. Simmons you meet is just stuck in the middle of it (hopefully that’s not a spoiler :p)

I saw the Men's Basketball Final at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Don't worry--there will be no spoilers in this post.

(I know that there may be some BLF members that want to watch this game, but haven't had the chance yet.)

This was an entertaining game to watch.

There wasn't much of a crowd, and they started out pretty quiet.

As the game progressed, the crowd got louder.

If you like basketball, this was a great game.

Not watched last but some time ago and really enjoyed.

Californication

The Sopranos

I started watching Pennyworth on Amazon/Epix —— It’s about the younger Alfred / Batman —- I/m not sure about this one —-All these choices and nothing to watch

Rewatching “The Guardian” on MyDecades, a “binge weekend”.

Almost forgot how good it was…

CRIMINAL:SPAIN
netflix
crime/court show

I’m in the middle of season 2. Funny, hilarious, amusing, brilliant series. 9/10 if you ask me.
Sherlock 2010

Hit and Run (Netflix) Starts off kind of slow but by the end of the first episode it gets pretty good — I fell a sleep last night midway through eps 7 and part of 8 — I’m gonna finish this one off tonight

I’ve watched the first three episodes so far. It’s getting interesting.
