I need a light that isn't too heavy to carry in the woods for 2 hours

You are looking for exactly what Larzi needs, almost word for specific word: https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/64139

A lot of identical interest in nighttime frisbee golf, I guess.

i’m in georgia, an FW3A works fine for me
light, small, bright, couple hours on medium lumens
pattern is moderately floody, i find it very useful

lumintop EDC18 might be just as good

From Finland to Georgia to Azerbaijan to the queen of England to the hounds of hell, all the way to Tacoma, Philadelphia, Atlanta, L.A.

Lyrics
I left my home in Norfolk, Virginia
California on my mind
I straddled that Greyhound and rode him into Raleigh
And on across Caroline

We had motor trouble that turned into a struggle
Halfway across Alabam’
Well, that ’hound broke down and left us all stranded
In downtown Birmingham

Right away I bought me a through train ticket
Right across Mississippi clean
I was on that midnight flyer out of Birmingham
Smokin’ into New Orleans

==what’s the song!?

as zoulas posted, there are lots of choices
and some would be much cheaper per unit.

how about buying 3 different ones which
cost ~$100USD combined and using
the one light you like best?

please understand, this advice comes from
someone who uses that logic to buy more.

Third vote for the Convoy M3-C. I use a 3000k tint for my nightly walks in/near the forest.
I like it so much I got a 5000k tint incoming for times I decide to walk the urban areas.

There are numerous other versions of this song:

In 1964 Johnny Rivers released his live album In Action including this song.

this, exact reason i bought it. continuous output for 2.5 hrs without stepdown or overheating, in a good size package that you can put in a jacket pocket or hoodie, with good throw and spill, waterproof, with great build quality, with usb c charging and at a great price! what else do you want

Saw the Dead do it a few times.

A bag full of rice. Nah, it’s probably plastic, dunno. More commonly known as bean bag.

Anyway, we lost Ms. Jones.

I’d definitely go with Professional’s Favorite, 20 million candlepower spotlight. Sure, the SLA isn’t ultralight, and you need to cart a generator along to recharge every 15 minutes, but it’s my best flashlight.

Looks like emerrryjones too a photo from photographer Lee Crosbie for avatar…

Yeah, she dead.

emerrryjones avatar is Coline Rabiosa.

The hardest part of this request is getting an easy to carry light that will not roll away when you set it down. I just ordered the Warsun X608 from Banggood.
I don’t expect it to be great. I will likely have to change the emitters, and the UI will probably be less than perfect, but it will slip into a pocket and it won’t roll away

I completely forgot about Nitecore. They have a bunch of side-by-side battery lights and rectangular/square tube lights. EA45S, EC4GT, EA42, EC4S, P18, P36, C2, TM10K….

Emisar DT8 may work, with it’s wide head.

Problem solved…

Thank me later! :+1:

i walked in woods/camped with many lights, but the one that had the best size\brightness ratio was noctigon kr4. (i’m sure other light may surpas it, but i’m only talking about light i personally used) it is the light i carry and use at work, i also noticed in the woods, throwers are of little use. flooder is what you want, you can’s see far due to tress\bushes anyway. kr4 with narrow lens has still pretty wide beam, and reaches reasonably far. thou even with the same lens and different leds beam profile may be different, mine has nichia leds
