What are you listening right now ?

Railroad Earth

Nice. Would love to hear what Frank would have to say today. He became painfully aware of lazy quacks at the end…

Funny, last time I heard that song it was by Krokus.

Not too bad of a remake.

Yeah not too bad. I did not know there were covers of this song. I searched on YouTube and there are plenty. Now I’m going to have to OD on BB. Yeah I like that song a lot as well as quite a few other Sweet songs.

Good stuff.

What does the Norwegian flag have to do with that album?

Most underrated female singers.
Long life Alison.

This is live lads. No autotune, no computer crap. Just pure talent.

Been a while, felt like some SPG…

Track: “Immortal” (feat. Merethe Soltvedt)
Composer: Thomas Bergersen
Album: Illusions

Definitely coming back to this thread later to check out some of the other tracks listed above.

"Girl with Far Away Eyes"

The Rolling Stones

Listening to "Country Honk" reminded me of the comment Brad Paisley made when he opened for the Stones back in 2015:

"I like to say they’re the No. 1 rock band in the world, and they’re in the Top 5 in country bands..."

That's close enough for me.

[Edited on 2022-Jul-27 to replace the original video that had been blocked by YouTube. This time, I'm using the official release by the Stones, so it should be around for a while.]

Wow, me too!

Saw DP at the Flint (michigan) IMA auditorium back in 1972. Johnny Winter was the warm up band. What a crazy show. Arena was thick with the smell of pot smoke, Deep Purple was loud as hell but clear and clean sound. John Lord put on like a 10 minute organ solo blasting through a huge stack of Marshals and Leslie speakers. Richie Blackmore destroyed a few guitars and amps. Ian Paice played one of the best drum solo’s I’ve ever heard to this day.

The Flint IMA auditorium held some of the best rock shows for many years
