ALDI UK functional torch!

Yes, I know it's total rubbish, but what a strange idea - combining a flashlight with a bottle opener. As if anyone would be interested in combining drinking with lights. Oh, wait a minute ....

What strikes me is the 'Rip-off Britain' aspect of it. 4 quid (at Aldi !) for.. well, ok, there's an outside chance that it might just be well made, but it's almost certainly a piece of complete junk which would cost under $3 from China with free shipping..

But you're right, at least it's a novel idea. It's like they were thinking of something to shove to the back of the good old kitchen drawer. Maybe they also do one with a corkscrew or a ratchet screwdriver..

Thanks for the heads up!

I'll aviod Aldi for a week or two.

What a naff product, I guess it could be useful if camping and drinking?

in Gemany ALDI has the reputation that only *** people go there shopping.

LIDL sells much more **** :)

Uh-oh! kreisler's found another money guzzling hobby

Think I’d rather go without a drink than have to use one of these. Well, maybe just stick to the screw-top bottles of wine. You wonder who thinks up these things.

How's the bread your ALDI's selling?

this country (includes our ALDI) bakes the best bread in da world (in terms of largest diversity and real varieties)..

Lensman, as you can see i am already back on BFL. No further money to be spent on tools or knives. Got 1 SAK, 1 Vinox MT, and 1 sharpening system (on the way). That be enough! All future investments only in this hobby ;)

As bad as the rest of the bread in this country. The Chorleywood "breadmaking" process, invented in the 1960's, together with the growth of supermarkets, has killed off the vast majority of decent bakeries. So bad, that I have resorted to baking my own. Well, at least I put the ingredients in a breadmaker & push the button. Not great, but not too bad either.

Appears then that ALDI doesnt export the Geman bakery goods (daily fresh in our chain stores) to other countries, i see. home breadmakers are becoming more and more popular here too .. good hearty stuff they put out!!

All right, signing off.. good night. Tomorrow's the day to open a paypal dispute (44th day)..

I once bought a german 'Vollkornbrot' at a Lidl store in Penzance

And to stay on topic, I wonder how the beam looks with a bezel like this...

Nothing for me though, I always have my Victorinox Cadet with me.

Ah another home bread maker. Nothing beats the smell of bread cooking in the house. We tend to make the dough and bake rolls a lot more now the kids have packed lunches at school. The problem we have is our children won't eat shop bread as they don't like it. Kinda funny when they go around friends for tea.
