The emitter is in fact a XP-C which is clearly seen on DX pictures and is of unknow bin. The body has a nice finish and look like a mini AA-S1 (same color and good feel). The markings are "DX" at the front and "XPE-R2" at the middle.
The output with NiMH is low, 20 LM at 0.63A. I think it needs a 10440 to really perform, but I have none of those.
The hotspot is normal size, but uneven and there are many rings. I suspect the LED sits a little low in the smooth reflector.
The color temperature measured rather warm, 5700K, bin WD, off-neutral value 4 (almost neutral to the green side).
