Edit: As for the sustained output, I would imagine that it’s pretty similar to whatever the sustained output of the PL47G2 was/is.

So it is not possible to use a Carclo optic with this one? Is it physically the same as the optic version or is different?

No, you can’t use an optic on this one. It is physically different, it has a smaller head since they removed the extra space the optic would have needed. And from what I’ve heard others say, the bezel is not easily removable anyway.
