HI Freeme

Its a Gen2 PL47

This is a mule version of PL47 G2.

So it is not possible to use a Carclo optic with this one? Is it physically the same as the optic version or is different?

No, you can’t use an optic on this one. It is physically different, it has a smaller head since they removed the extra space the optic would have needed. And from what I’ve heard others say, the bezel is not easily removable anyway.

Thanks I appreciate the quick response.

Спасибо. Теперь у меня есть понимание.

Here are some PL47mu video’s with all the LED’s in action.

Thanks for your reply, and you’re probably right lol :+1:

Very interested. Been waiting for a mule headlamp with anduril. J I wish they’d offer a warm option like 3000k. Maybe that will come later. Thanks, Freeme.

This would be the perfect work light if it also came with a magnet on the back

Interested. Thanks freeme.

Interested. It would be nice if they created a separate package with a short tube and battery. I'm not going to use it with element 21700, for example.

The tail-cap comes with a magnet.

And if you stick some small rare earth magnets to the pocket clip, and secure them with a shrink wrap tube, it will make a perfect work light. I do this with my Zebralight mule and stick it to the underside of the hood when working on my car. You can rotate the light any direction.

Interested.
I wish I could buy an extra tailcap without magnetic to quick replacement.

interested…

I didn’t even think about someone possibly not wanting a magnet. I thought maybe you can pull it out like on all the other new lights, but I just checked and you can’t.

I also just tried the tail-cap of the original PL47g2 and it was not really a great fit. It screws on but seem short at the end. I figured you could ask for one of those but not really either. You should email Jack and ask if you can get a tailcap with no magnet. They look pretty snug under the coil but you never know, ask and they might be able to pull it out for you.

Out of curiosity, why don’t you like the idea of a magnet on this light?

Really interested

I think the printed circuit board in the lid is on double-sided tape. It should be easy to remove when heated. On an iron, for example ...
