Guys, don’t get me wrong but all your wishes and desires for triples and quads and tint ranping and stuff are already covered by Sofirn, HankLights, Fireflies etc.

All your “i want” cost more than you think and Convoy was always budget.
I’d suggest to take a deep breath and start ordering parts from kiriba-ru who has pills and adapters for triples and start building your own stuff.
This type of crying can be seen at more expensive Hank thread and it’s becoming more and more anoying. Like 4x4 people in Olight group

Completely agree, some of the demands and requests are getting a bit crazy. Convoy’s reputation is for high quality, budget, easy to use flashlights, with lots of emitter options. If you want hotrods, RGB aux LEDs on disco mode, quads with mixed emitters, and having to perform factory resets after one false click, then look at lights from Hank, Fireflies, et al.

I’m going to have to agree also. I’ve got two types of flashlights;tools and toys. Convoy makes tools, physical switches, heavy wall construction, simple UI’s and reliable. Toys with flashy lights, sublights, multi step programming I buy else where. I’m guilty I think Convoy should up a few amps here and there on some lights. Build a few hot rods pushing the limits. Instead he builds light I can actually let nonflashaholics use without fear of burning themselves or screwing up the programs.

although I’m definitely guilty of owning many “toy / gimmicky” flashlights, which I love, I agree with these comments. I just think there is a ton of requests being thrown at Simon lately in this thread. It kind of feels like every time someone has a thought they just “throw it out there”, requesting Simon to make it/list it/offer it, with little regard. I understand how business works and the need to listen to the customers, but the tone of the thread has started going sideways lately… Do I think Convoy producing a tint ramping light is a good idea? Ehh… I’m not one who is interested in such a light, but I think it’s Definitely outside of Convoy’s normal business model. Sounds like he is going to make it, but I just would hate for it to not be perfect and him get 10,000 requests for a design change after he already put all the work into manufacturing it in the first place. Kind of like what is happening with his current driver’s UI in the new line of large lights (sbt90 and Sft40 triple). Fixing the UI is a reasonable request, but designing a new light with such complexity as tint ramping? I don’t know. I look forward to Convoys simple robust designs and also their offering to us enthusiast who like to “tinker” (leds, centering rings, hosts, reflectors, etc) . I understand not everyone will mod, but changing the LEDS in a tint ramping Sofirn is a simple mod where about $75 in “tools” are needed, and those tools will enable the user to do countless other mods too… I think if you are an enthusiast who buys numerous flashlights and has a budget to buy numerous lights, buying some basic tools (soldering station $50, hot plate $20, etc) and trying to lightly mod your perfect setup is completely reasonable. there is plenty of support here to learn the process, and it is very satisfying to learn. I am also willing to help with modding for people, i just think there are things we should ask of the manufacturers, and then there are other things we should ask of the community. Simon cannot produce every variant of every light he has, it is just unreasonable…

I think there is no need to worry.
For new suggestions, my idea is not “reject” or “accept”, but “small production” or “mass production”

I would use them on small host, maybe the boost driver is too large

Can you find a better spring solution for the M3 light? I think others have noticed it also but with the single spring in the tail it just isn't strong enough to keep the weight of the 26650 cells in contact with the brass button on the driver when set down on the tail, so the light cuts out. I notice with mine that if I'm on moonlight and set it down gently, it will cut out and actually shut off the light. On any normal/higher mode it will blink but not shut off. I've tried stretching the spring but of course that wasn't enough. It seems like at the base of the spring coils there is about 2-3mm of space that the spring will lower into as weight is put upon it, reducing the spring length maybe extra than was designed? But with the brass button on the driver instead of a spring, there is no give/support for when the battery moves in the tube. The spring quality is excellent, maybe just needs to be longer or made of thicker wire? Someone posted a photo here where they cut a small piece of rubber tubing to put below the spring to limit its travel/compression but that seems less than ideal solution. It's a minor but important small defect in an otherwise wonderful flashlight design.

From the Shopee listings it comes in SST20 but only 5000K or 6500K. Roughly $12 converted to USD.

seems to be with pill.For single emitters I prefer the design of the Blf A6 where it’s very easy and quick change lenses

i asked the factory to shorten the middle tube of flashlight ,it will be changed in the futurn ,
currently Users can use 26mm board to fill the gap
