[WTS] Emisar D18 - $90 OBO.

[WTS] Emisar D18 (SST20, 6500K), 14,000 lumens. Asking $90 OBO. Sorry, no batteries; but it does include a holster. PayPal. And U.S. only.

I actually bought this D18 from someone else and it didn’t include the box (from what I recall), so I don’t know/recall all of the specific details. However, from what I’ve been able to find online, being that this is the 6500K version, it looks like it is only available in SST-20. Which makes it have the monster output of 14,000 lumens.

I’d rate it an A- condition, as it does have a few really small nicks/scrapes on it, that I’ll try to show it in the pics; but it is in excellent working condition and I will include a few beamshots of it on Turbo, to try to show how ridiculously bright the output on this thing is. Asking $90, which saves $10 from buying it new and gets you a holster; and I may be interested in trades, or a trade-plus-cash, so, feel free to make an offer. Thanks.

Interested. Will you do partial trade for an Astrolux ea01 xhp50?

Hey, Artie. You have hooked me up with some great deals and I haven’t forgotten about that. Feel free to let me know what you might want to try to work out and we’ll see what we can get done. And feel free to send a PM, if you’d prefer to.

Ok I wil because I have an another Astrolux too. I appreciate the kind words. I will send you a personal message now

ill take it.

Artie, you fein

love to see it

I've been called worse!

haha.. thanks Jared.. i cant help myself!

well, to be honest this is the ONLY current model of Emisar/Noctigon i do not have and have never owned. and my boy AzAssassin and I have a good history of doing business together :) like it was meant to be?

PLUS - me getting a used D18 helps me justify reflowing allll those xpl-hi 4000k / 2850k led's in it. buying those may cost as much as the damn light !

I can’t decide between d18 and mf01s (which I think you’ve had?). I would have passed on the 6500k though. Interested to hear your comparison.

FYI, Hank gladly sold me a ‘blank’ MCPCB for a Meteor a while ago.

You could leave the stock one loaded with emitters instead of swapping them, and maybe sell it to another D18 owner wanting to switch tints.

this isn't a bad idea, depends how much Hank will charge for the mcpcb and flowing. I know what he charges for the d18 with xpl-hi. I also know if I buy the bare emitters from him (and he has excellent tint 4000k 5D right now) that it will be about $75... so maybe if it's close to that I will, reflowing isn't that difficult, but it would be nice to try and sell the 6500k mcpcb. Good idea!

Unfortunately no I haven't owned the mf01s, that light has been on my list the longest without being purchased.. I only am choosing this because of the possibility for a trade bc a new Mateminco mt18s (mf01s) can be bought regularly for $80 with shipping. So I would probably buy that before the d18 at $100 or even $90 honestly, plus I think the Mf01s throws further and has 4 batteries for longer life. But the d18 is supposed to be designed awesomely and have very good craftsmanship.

Edit- I'm only going for the 6600k because i know I can reflow xpl-hi on it. I'm only considering buying one in which I will have to reflow the leds because I may be able to work out some kind of trade with OP. If I were to buy this straight out from OP for $90 and then buy the LED's to reflow for $75, it would be cheaper to have Hank make me a new one with xpl-hi. So yea, that's my story :)

Yes, found the thread comparing the 2 from 2020. I’m definitely leaning toward the mf01s, more the capacity than higher throw - I think i’ll go for it!

Gotcha. If you like Hank’s emitters, having him install them might be your best bet. :+1:

To clarify, I meant Hank sold me a Meteor MCPCB with no emitters, in case you’re sourcing LEDs from somewhere else.

ahh i got ya. no i get them from Hank. or Simon, but xpl-hi always from Hank.

nice! I want to see a beamshot!
