Mine works perfect with lighted switch because it has the new driver witch works with lighted switch (the old driver with on/off always change to next mode). Look inside the tube, if you see silver band between the fets it’s the new driver with option 12 selected (only 1 mode). You need to change the option that you like in config mode.
Your S2+ comes with old driver. Not bad because at the moment with the new driver I can’t enter to config mode, with 10 or 20 clicks always change to next mode.
It’s a 219b 3500k custom builded from Simon. Silver with rubber button and OP reflector. I use the lighted switch from another S2+ that didn’t work well with old Biscotti driver.
I freakin love this thing!Nichia B35AM 5000K R9080 with 6V/3A driver. But it anoys me not having anything between 20% and 100%. I like simple 3 mode but a jump from 20% to max is too much so i find my self constantly taping tailswitch.Simon if you read this i would apreciate if you could rearrange modes on your drivers. 5%-50%-100% for nightshift workers…
Nearly 10mm² of emitter area equals lovely large spot in edc sized optics. I want one with a LumeX1 in my FW1A. 21700 mates well with this emitter though, really nice build!
The beam is amazing, reminds of a bit cooler 219B sw45 but with massive output.
The reason i’d be happy with 50%-100% mode is that while i do walkaround around engines, landing gear and lower fuselage, 20% is barely enough and i have to sometimes tap for 100% which is anoying. 50% would be perfect for lower area but for horizontal stabsand wing 100% is perfect.
Have you looked Kaidomain or Manta Ray’s XHP50.2 3A drivers? They aren’t that customizable, but I think they both have something like 30-35% mode in mode rotation. Maybe they are what you need?
Yeah, it’s bit annoying sometimes. I have run in that same problem, when 20 isn’t quite enough but 100% is overkill. I also use 3 modes on my work lamps.
would it be possible to make Ramping driver but 6V/3-4A?
That could be solution for everybody that want specific output. Since it’s already avialable in 3V…
