I got heat sink paste - the white kind - on the surface/dome of an LED.
What’s the best way to get it off?

Isopropanol / isopropylalcohol is one of the best solvents to clean such things
I find ordinary disposable alcohol lens wipes work well for cleaning LED domes. The same kind used for cleaning ipad screens and glasses. If you need a bit more pressure to get the corners of the dome, just use a q-tip on top of the wipe.
Alrighty I’ll give it a shot -
The use of alcohol wipes is very effective. You’re right. When working with electronics, that’s usually good enough.
yep, a paste comes off with alcohol, but dry adhesive will not, that you’ll have to physically remove,
Be fast. The white thermal compound contains silicone oil, which dissolves a silicone LED dome over time. At least it makes it foggy and wrinkly very quickly.
