freeme, any news from Lumintop about using the SFT40 in lights like the FW21 ( X4L ? ) or GT mini?
I’d really love to see an 18650 light from them using the GT micro reflector!
And another thing which was discussed and then dropped long ago was something like a FW421… or basically a 21700 version of the FW4A. The now discontinued FW21 triple never made much sense and always looked awkward. Getting rid of the trit slots and making it a quad would really be a hot seller in my opinion. It’d be like a 21700 KR4, which is something many are hoping for.
Overall, I think it’d be wise for Lumintop to reverse their battery sizing trend. (bigger cell, smaller head/LEDs) A 10440 triple is soooo silly, I think.
Freeme, have you heard anything about the reintroduction of the ODL20C or some similar thrower? I've been trying for months to get a replacement driver for the original with the XHP35Hi - they sent me the wrong driver and it's been email tag with long delays since then (don't think they're willing to replace with a different light...). Last message the guy encouraged me to wait a bit because they were reintroducing that thrower with a different emitter...soon, he said. Curious what they've got planned (and if the host is the same).
My thought exactly, I was thinking of flashlight with head of the GT Nano and 16340 battery could be really compact thrower

Maybe, but that is not related to the FW1AA, just with the “original” design, namely the FW3A/FW1A.
So I expect the FW1AA to be out, without relation to the FW3A
I’m sure it will but the comments on quality and disappointing outcome of the relationship effects my opinion of Lumintop. I won’t by buying FW1A.
They are related in that they both come from the same company and are presumably affected by the same decision making processes. So the FW1AA’s history gives an unpromising prognosis for the FW3A.
I’ve never heard of a flashlight with a controlled bill of materials (BOM) but maybe it is time for that.
