Simon, I received your new M3C today the one without a head spring. Spring tension on the 26800 with extension and the 26650 with the body tube only is mild to weak. On moon mode a mild tap will turn it off. Other modes it flickers. My quick fix so far is to remove the retaining ring. Press a P60 outer dropin spring into the hole along with the supplied tail spring. It fits very snug but a longer stronger tail spring is needed.

Yes, there is a similar problem with the S11 spring. I put a vertically switched flashlight on the table and it switches the mode.
There is a possibility that this is a temporary solution to the problem. The spring will squeeze again over time and everything will repeat itself. I think need a more powerful spring or a double spring for flashlights with heavy 26650 batteries.
spring can soldered on the the 26mm plate, The area used for welding the spring on the driver is too small, and I cannot find a suitable spring that can withstand large currents.
My solution with the P60 outer dropin spring
Uh, what I mean is that the positive electrode of the battery and the driver are not in contact with the spring
Found on r/flashlights, credit: u/N0b0dyfromsomewhere. He says “A new SBT90.2 flashlight model, 81mm head, using 26800 battery
from Simon’s FB profile”
Can Simon please confirm?
Yes, it’s a sample ,but the driver is not good ,
it’s a FET driver, The manufacturer claims that the maximum output can reach 25A, but when I measured it was only 19.2A
This is exciting! Will a host version be available?

The driver now only has a stud. Prefer springs on both ends to allow travel under shock without loss of contact.
Simon. Please consider making some sort of shock dampener for the positive contact on drivers using the brass stud. This would ideally be a low durometer rubber or high density foam that prevents the positive end of the cell from being dented from impact. A plastic ‘cap’ that surrounds the stud and only let’s it protrude a mm or less would work too

There is a very simple way, you can use silicone o-ring of appropriate size for the thread,
For example, 26650 battery, you can put some 26mm O-ring on the positive pole

This is true, and I do this often in my lights. Just thought it would be a nice feature to include especially with the 26800 which is hard to get for a lot of people and so protecting that investment is important.
What I'd love to see is the M21E, M21D etc use the SFT40. Yes, I know it would require a new driver, but currently Convoy have nothing for longer reach using a side switch, except the SBT90.2 models. Need something a wee bit more compact
driver for M21E with KW CULPM1.T/SFT40 in production now
Oh man, this is the best news i have read in a long time. Well this, and the 26800 sbt90 light! Ive been waiting a long time for Convoy (prefereably) to make a Single battery sbt90 thrower with a bezel larger than a noctigon K1 ! what an exciting time for Convoy. it just gets better and better! ive already ordered the m21e even though i dont want a xhp70 light, its just so nice looking i couldnt resist lol. CULPM1 and sft40 will be awesome! plus that means other 3v leds too.
What a beauty in polished silver/raw! Simon, do you plan to make these in 2 x 26800 with one piece battery tube (no adapters)? Then you could use your L7 driver. Please do and I will buy.
BUT please still make it with only ONE 26800 battery tube as well, Simon. please. I know many like 2x26800 or 2x26650, but that is enough for me not to buy. one battery , 26800. such a beautiful design. the raw silver is perfect. my L21a is a light i will never get rid of.
Question for Simon
Are you able to implement below 0.1% mode on most of your drivers?
My 4x amc7135 draw ~ 3mA,it’s too bright indoor on late night. Need real firefly mode

And i got the driver sample for M21D with KW CULPM1.T/SFT40 ,It has a reverse charging function. It will also be put into production soon.
The test result of the 26800 sbt90 driver is not good. The driver manufacturer claims that the current is around 22A, but I think this is theoretical data obtained in the laboratory. In the actual test, due to the internal resistance, I only got 19A. When I tested the charging function, the driver board burned out.

I can produce additional 2*26650 and 2*26800 tubes, but in this case, the charging function is not available.

Very low current requires high-precision chips, and the price is relatively expensive. You can consider using frosted lenses or TIR lenses to diffuse the light spot, which will cost much less

With the large head I think this is more of a 2*26650/2*26800 lights. A bit smaller head for single cell build, such as a heavier and finned L2 or M3. But you do have a support base for it as is. So Simon have you become a 26800 convert? I believe it’s what the 26650 could be if newer tech was done to it.

I did the same with 90° lens and 2.8A driver,a bit too high. Hope will be lower on T2 Driver and on the next Quad light CCT and AA headlmap. If have true firefly mode cost me a pairs $ more, no problem
Has anyone done any measurements on the current T2 drivers with 219B? What’s the lumens on 1%?
I managed to find one of Simon’s staff member shops is still selling a few units of 219B T2. Wondering if I should just spring for a few in 3000K, 3500K while stocks last – or just wait until Simon gets new drivers in his main store.

Okay, I will pay attention. But compared to the high price, what is worse is that the chip is out of production.
Hi. If someone have idea can I order that black version of S2+ metal switch. I ordered my new red S2+ yestarday and I want it to have one of this black metal switches
I wanted a Black S2+ with metal switch too. But no, it doesn’t have.
I ended up buying the Lighted Metal Switch as an accessories and put it in… The Lighted Metal Switch can only fix on Rubber Tailcap S2+…

I know for that metal switch conversion kit for S2+ but I wanted that black metal finish button not raw metal color from picture.
Oh I see… That’s possible. I guess Simon can do it easily for you. Just add a note in your order. Now that you have ordered, maybe message Simon at AX Store if it has not send out.

Sorry for my poor english.
It’s these, the large spring only. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32689883571.html

base diameter should be less than 5mm

Check out this new Red LED over at Kaidomain, this would be sweet in the H1 Headlamp since it doesn’t require a special 2.5v driver.
There’s a review saying they pushed it over 6A and it handled it fine.
I get a lot of inquiries from hunters wanting a red lamp to go with the C8+ and L21B in red.
