【ツ】WildTrail WT1M & WT3M Sales Thread

Grabbed a sst40 single led version in silver. Thanks guys!

These look fantastic. I’d like to buy both. Anyone know if they take paypal?

They do for me, just tried it - PayPal comes up as a payment method and was allowed to select it.

PayPal worked first me as well

Cannot find these two new WT flashlights on Banggood.

WT shop on Ali Express is charging some shipping fee (about 10-12%) for delivery to Singapore from China. Normally it is free. :person_facepalming:

Thanks

Why does the WT3M have less ANSI than the WT1M? Why is the WT3M shorter than the WT1M?

ANSI throw I assume? Single reflector will out throw a triple reflector of the same width, but the WT1M has a bigger head to maximize throw, while the WT3M is more for flood, so size isn't as important. The WT3M even has an OP reflector to soften the hot spot and make a more uniform beam, and with the 3 reflectors it doesn't need depth so overall, the WT3M has a smaller head.

I just ordered a WT1M w/XHP50.2, silver of course...

Never mind, after looking at the pictures again it seems the battery tube is approximately the same. The head of the flashlight is where the extra length comes from. For some reason, I was thinking one had a longer battery tube and was confused since both use a 21700

Lucky you. They want $50.61 to ship to Philippines. Hope BG will sell these at a reasonable price.

Too bad the 50.3 won’t be 3V in hiCRI… I like the 3M, but the days of low cri flooders are over for me. Wish I could support WT with my $ but not this time. Fingers crossed they knock the SFT40 model out of the park. Maybe something in the 50-55mm class to fill in the dead zone between C8s and 60mm lights. 250kcd and 2200lm in the smallest package possible might be a hot item.

agreed about the sft40 model in that size. I have a sft40 in a Emisar d1s with a 50mm head and it is a perfect setup, also the gt mini would be like that too. A 21700 gt mini sized light would be AWESOME

Yea, it's not that kind of flooder for sure, more like a power flooder but with a nice hotspot, big, but not as big as you get with the tir optics. I should take some wall and beam shots. It's really a decent looking smooth beam with the OP reflectors.

those look awesome, but will wait for version on SFT40 emitters
almost bought 2 of them yesterday, but stopped myself last minute (I already have EC01, and FW21 pro on XHP50.2, so very similar flashlights)

Hi. how is the beam with the triple sst40, not too narrow?
Is there noticeable yellow-green corona with triple xhp50.2?

Thanks in advance.

Not narrow at all. These are shallow reflectors, very wide flood, wide smooth hot spot. The only beam artifacts I can see is 3 lines or bumps radiating out at the outer edge of the flood, probably because of the triple reflector. But actually if I don't rotate the light around, I can't notice them.

Don't have the XHP50.2 version, so dunno, but have one on order.

ime the xhp50 versions of these types lights are even better beams which is good too.

TomE- I really appreciate all the info and pictures and everything you have shared already and it definitely helped me decide to buy the single led version.

could you possibly share photos of the triple reflector versions reflector with leds installed? I would love to be able to see their depth and finish to help me determine whether to pull the trigger on buying the triple Led variant.. I like how small it is, and I'm having a hard time figuring if it's more like the ec03 or the fw21 pro. I like both of those lights btw. Thanks Tom!

Will do a little later - don't have access now.

Here's some details in pics of the reflector:

Added some trits - didn't have to glue them, they'll stay but with a small rattle:

WT3M w/triple SST-40 5000K's:

Using a D4SV2, CW - SST-20 6500K, for comparison, same position, same camera angle (the D4SV2 is similar size head but with quad tir optics, mine is stock LED's and optics):

side by side, WT3M on right:

WT3M:

D4SV2:

The hot spots are about the same size, though the WT3M's looks more blended, softer, the D4SV2 more sharply defined. The flood area is much wider with the WT3M.

For artifacts outside the flood area, my WT3M has less - 3 distinct lines radiating outward, while the D4SV2 seems more like random things. In both lights there not very noticeable until you rotate the light, but maybe in full darkness they stand out more.

Wow! Very helpful! And even more promising! Think I'll be buying this one! Thanks TomE
