xtar pb2s

Hello everyone and I apologize for my imperfect English
does anyone know if the xtar pb2s can charge the nintendo switch in portable mode i know it has a very capricious protocol which does not accept all power banks

thank you for the answers

What is the voltage/current for the Switch that makes it ‘picky?’

Chris

hi chris
I am not a professional regarding the batteries and all what is related I came here because a friend told me that people were qualified
Here is a link that should answer your question chris

have a good day

I’m no electrical engineer, but I would think that the Xtar PBS2 would be a no go because of the voltage requirements of the Switch—upwards of 15vdc at 2.6 amps.

Maybe not a problem if it’s mostly in a fully charged state, but they keep mentioning charging up from a 7% state of discharge, so things will be steep/more power required at that level of discharge.

I’ve read of some power banks having higher levels of outputs, perhaps as high as 15vdc, but I can’t name any of them, so I won’t try.

They’re out there, however, so keep Googling. You need 15vdc at 2.5A, for the most part.

Chris

thanks for your reply chris

Sorry for the concerns.

I have a PBS2 and like it enough with my 50E 21700s, but it’ll only do so much.

I just got my PBS2 out and the box states this:

OUTPUT:

QC3.0 & PD3.0: (5vdc @ 2A, 9vdc @ 2A and 12vdc at 1.5A)

From a ‘mostly charged’ state, you might get some juice, but of course it will be a slower charging rate and the mother cells should be fully charged.

Probably won’t be harmful, but charging it up from a slightly depleted state would be the way I would go.

Chris

thank you so much chris for this additional information and sorry to have brought you out your xstar

I’m only here to help…and to drink any free beer you might send my way?

Good luck.

Chris

haha
I would have liked to send you a good French beer
but the money for the transport will cost me much more than the chris beers

I was in Paris right before my 18th birthday and went to see the Parisian opening of Apocalypse Now in a beautiful and ornate theatre,

I smuggled some Kronenburgs and airline vodka in with me.

I had a blast!
