Thanks. I’ve never browsed there before.

Can’t say I’m surprised. Last time I browsed there, most of what I wanted was out of stock, or i could get it cheaper from AE with free shipping. I also heard of the scamming and shady dealing with refunds and warranty returns si I never purchased anything there.

I haven’t bought from FT either. No need to with AE and eBay.

I didn’t even know they existed.:smiley: There are so many of these online stores…which one does one go to??? :money_mouth_face:

I have bought several items from GB since i became a BLF member, they used to be quite good, but the last 2 years they were extremely pricey and did not offer many choices.

I’ve used GB a lot in the past, they where great in vape-stuff but also some lights and knives and other assorted stuff bought there. Some time ago the vape-stuff was gone overnight and everything started to change, shipping went from one of the fastest to slow if it even came at all. That was the time to stop shopping with GB and it seems I wasn’t the only one who thought so.

Some time ago the newsletters in my email stopped, didn’t even notice till now………

Like so many here, it had been at least a couple of years since I used them. In hindsight you could see that they were on the slide so maybe it shouldn’t be so much of a shock to us if true.

I would use AE if they had PayPal

Anyway I look forward to a new China offering that will maintain the long standing tradition of using English badly and gets the naming backwards.

I’m predicting GB will re-incarnate as:

Stuff Better
Care Dont

AE does have paypal. Only way I pay online.

Yes, looks like GearBest is gone. Last email I got from them was the end of May. Too bad they aren’t an option anymore for flashlight stuff.

Jesus! I nearly bought from them a few days ago!

I stopped visiting GB after they came out with the BS $0.01 flash sale…

Many consumers that purchased merchandise from Gearbest.com say that they still have not received the ordered merchandise after several weeks have passed. Some consumers that do receive their orders tell BBB that items received are defective. Many consumers claim that they [are] offered store credit instead of the refund they are seeking after their items are not received. Numerous consumers report a lot of difficulty in getting a response [from] the company’s customer service department, despite multiple attempts to reach them by telephone or email. Several consumers that do interact with the company’s customer service team are allegedly told that their products have been shipped and they are provided with a tracking number. Those consumers claim that the tracking numbers received from Gearbest.com are not valid and cannot be traced by the shipping carrier (FedEx, USPS)."

Aliexpress comes up in a foreign language for me. Can’t use it. How do English speakers use it?

Don’t see the relevance with GearBest, but here you go.
Somewhere in the top-righthand-corner of your screen you see the sign of a shopping cart. Just above that you see a flag. Click on the flag and you get a menu for nation, language and currency. On my screen, anyway.

Oops, there goes my $2 in store credit.

Top right of the home page allows you to select the language. May not be in english at login, but that is the drop down for language selection to change to english, or other languages.
