The dc barrel plug on the end of the switching power supply for my MC3000 got crushed off. Anyone know what size I would order/part number etc? So I can repair?

just measure outer diameter of the plug…
standard size for barrel plugs is 5.5mm OuterDiameter 2.1mm InnerD (5.5mmx2.1mm)
afaik the connector on this device is center-positive.
there are barrel plugs that are designed to be soldered to a cable by hand.
if you don’t have a soldering iron, consider getting one, it’s quite handy.
also order appropriate heat shrink.
otherwise there are barrel connectors that can just be screwed but it’s clunky and a wire might come loose, make a short and fry the power supply.
in any case you just need sidecutters, screwdrivers, needle nose pliers and optimally a multimeter for checking polarity and voltage.
otherwise red tends to be positive and black negative.
