UPDATED - [VIDEO REVIEW] Emisar D4V2 (SST20 4000K Fet+1 & E21A 2700K 5A Linear)

What a nice review, thanks for taking your time to do this!

Very nicely done review. Looking forward to your next one.

LuxWad, I guess Iā€™m gunna have to be that guy to say this! Your vid is basically flashlight porn.

Production quality videoā€™s, for sure!

Thanks Hank, Iā€™m really happy to hear that you liked it!

Haha thanks, I guess thatā€™s a good thing. Just try not to enjoy it too much

It was 40 minutes long but it felt like 20 minutes. :+1:

Boo.

Great review video on some awesome flashlights! :+1:

These are excellent videos you do, LW! Watched this and a couple others this morning. Really well done, thank you for sharing them here.

Great review. Even though I have owned several of these for awhile , I really enjoyed watching! :+1:

I don't know if ToyKeeper (or sb) made any changes, but I can see this image now.

I finally added https on my site.

Hopefully it wonā€™t break in 3 months when the cert needs to be renewed.

Thanks! Iā€™m glad people are enjoying them!

Actually, to be honest, before this video I was hesitant to start posting to BLF for fear of trying to spread poorly-informed content (since Iā€™m just a fellow hobbyist), I really want to provide accurate info. I was kind of worried the videos would even just be annoying, since thereā€™s lots of great reviews already and most others here (including myself) seem to prefer written reviews.

However people seem to be really enjoying the last few videos and have found them helpful, which is great to hear. This forum is a nice place too

This is exciting news!

When it comes to reviews, I like techy stuff first and foremostā€¦nice to see graphs and data, and especially nice when people do part of full teardowns and provide measurements of parts (that is often a godsend for anyone who needs to repair a light or mod it in any way, since most of the time weā€™re ordering stuff from overseas with the long wait times, etc). I guess in some ways I do prefer written, but Good video reviews get my attention and Iā€™ll watch them all the way through - yours definitely make the short list of videos Iā€™ll watch. Reallyā€¦nice work!

Great video man, I watched the whole thing, still on the fence for one in 2k. Thumbs up on the video.

Hmm. Humans get excited about the oddest things.

Thatā€™s just your anxiety talking. It may help to give it a name, likeā€¦ Mitch. If you listen to Mitch, heā€™ll tell you to give up on the things you enjoy. Heā€™ll tell you to hide the things which make you interesting and awesome, and try to be as small as possible so you wonā€™t bother anyone.

So donā€™t listen to Mitch. Heā€™s an asshole. Nobody likes that guy.

Lol, my browser is set to https-only so it didnā€™t like your site.

As for dealing with Mitch, heā€™s certainly an annoyance. Iā€™ve not heard of this strategy before, Iā€™ll have to give it a try XD

Thanks! Iā€™m glad to hear too that the technical stuff and the measurements are appreciated.

Itā€™s been tricky finding a balance with my reviews, I think my videos fit into a wierd spot where they seem too ā€œfancyā€ and advertisement-like upon first impression, causing a lot of viewers drop out right away (according to the data YT provides), but the technical data is a bit dense sometimes and starts to slow it down, so altogether itā€™s hard to balance. I think Iā€™ve gotten better at making the whole thing ā€œfitā€ together though. Iā€™ve decided that the amount of technical detail will depend on the light Iā€™m reviewing, and whether or not Iā€™ve already covered specific things like drivers/UI, since itā€™s just so time-consuming.
For this particular review, I was really happy with how it all turned out, even if it was super long.

Post has been updated with beamshots, new turbo runtime graphs, and auxiliary current draw.

One of the best , detailed and professional reviews Iā€™ve seen ! Great job .
