Looks like the black firefly (0.04 lumen low and 60 lumen high) version, but I suppose you could try to specify preference in the comments section during checkout.
Just ordered one, I suppose you have to wait to see which one you get (in terms of modes). 3 lumens I can understand, but can you see anything with 0.04 ?
You’d be surprised. If you already have trouble seeing in the dark it will do you no good but if you already have decent night vision it’s amazing how well you can see with that little bit without disturbing anyone else who might be near.
To me, 3 lumens is crazy bright! My ZL SC60 has 2 low modes... 2 lumens and 0.2 lumen. 2 lumen is way too bright in the morning when I get dressed. I can ceiling bounce it and see everything. The .2 lumen is very bright but not harsh. .04 lumen is crazy low but if you were ever trapped in the pitch black it would be plenty and even on a AAA it would run for days on end.
Just ordered! Thanks HBomb! I'm not a Facebook user (I know, I know) so I blew the whole thing off at first. Good thing I checked back on this thread! I hope mine is the 3 lumen low version!
Sounds good to me! But then again, if yours is pink and mine is black it might be a different story!
Why is this always the argument? How many people actually prepare to be stuck in the dark for days on end! I can understand some people preparing for this kind of situation (like cavers or people who live in extreme environments), but not me.
You’re the guy that goes into old mines for a living! What are you saying? LOL! If anyone should use that argument you should.
I always expect the worse and am happy when things go well. You never know when power goes out in a large building, you get trapped in an elevator or a basement, etc... I always remember when I was in a huge lava tube on Mt Shasta and how the light from my crappy watch let me see everything. A buddy was on the Appalachian trail on a moonless night and he couldn't see his hand in front of his face. He used the Indiglo on his Timex to see the trail and get back to his car. It's those unexpected times when you want a small light that will provide just enough light and run seemingly forever.
Also, like I said...3 lumens to me is way too much light when all I need is enough to see by.
