Thanks for the comparison, Barry!!!
Your “English” is superb, and so are those beam shots. Tough choice between the two, although I’m leaning towards the 22A TIR. I may have to get both.

Thank you for the great video and no need to apologize for your English, it’s great!
Barry,
Thanks for the video.
Your English is Good, no problem understanding!
And you did much better than I would do trying to hold phone in one hand and run flashlight with other and keep the video in frame.
Really like that IF22A, when will it be in USA Amazon shop?
Thanks!
Keith
Thanks for the video Barry. Your English was better than some people I talk to everyday! haha
IF22A with TIR has a much nicer light beam. Soft but usable spill and clean, wide and even hotspot. Very nice!
Thanks for the video, Barry!
I ordered IF22A. Got a thing for these TIR throwers.
Loved your video Barry and English smooth like butter. I already have 4 Sofirn type flashlights and the IF22A will be my fifth one!
Yes, but it takes time. Hope to see it available on amazon US in the end of September or early October.
I ordered the IF22 and IF22A, which arrived today. But neither of the 2 packages include any manual at all. I know it’s possible to “guess” how the IF22 and IF22A operation works, since I’m familiar with other Sofirn flashlights. However, it’s still good if there is some documentation? Maybe there is a soft copy of the manual for IF22 and IF22A somewhere? I’ll try to get some beamshots when the weather becomes better here in our country.
It is possible that factory workers forgot to put the manual in boxes when they packaged these two products. I will PM you the soft copy.
I also got my IF22A today, but also had no Manual in the box. The UI is similar to the IF25, but not exactly. Does the If22a only has 1 Strobe Mode ? No Sos,Beacon & Pulse ?
The Sofirn IF22A profile reminds me of a mushroom column, the kind you often see in vintage buildings.

I told factory about manual. I will PM you the soft copy.

Im really Impressed so far from the If22a. Great Edc Thrower !
A 2700k version would be great aswell, but i dont think the led comes in 2700k what a shame
Posting some beamshots comparing the IF22A vs the IF22
1) Sofirn IF22A (SFT40, TIR) [left] vs IF22 (SFT40, SMO) [right] [shutter speed: 1/100th second]
2) Sofirn IF22A (SFT40, TIR) [shutter speed: 1/10th second]
3) Sofirn IF22 (SFT40, SMO) [shutter speed: 1/10th second]
@d.t.a., do you know the distances to your targets in those shots? Just curious, thanks. (Great comparisons, as always.)
Finally ordered the IF22A from https://sofirnlight.myshoplaza.com/. Sure looks like the 5 deg tir optic has unique advantages with a bigger hot spot and far less flood brightness. I haven't seen or heard of a tir optic outperforming a SMO reflector of the same width in throw, maybe it's out there, but it's hard to get a good head to head comparison.
Here are beam shot pictures
IF22(Left) the hotspot is smaller, but the peripheral aperture is included, the illumination range is larger
IF22A (Right) the hotspot is larger, and there is almost no peripheral spot
Why does the left look considerably warmer the right?

Maybe it’s an orange peel reflector?
I just ordered the Sofirn IF22A! Looking forward to it.

When we say 6500K tint, actually tint is around 6500K, it may be lower or higher a little bit. I guess that's why the left beam is slightly wamer than the right one. Or maybe due to the phone camera.
