This is a Russian manufactured 18650 cell designed for battery powered tools, this means low capacity and very high current.

The two cells matches fairly well and the battery can maintain nearly constant capacity at any load.

Conclusion

The cell has fairly low energy content, but can deliver a lot of power.

Very interesting, I had no idea Russia even made cells at all! Are there others out there, I suppose?

Me either, but somebody decided to enlighten me. I have a couple of other cells from JSC I will publish reviews of in the next month or two.

I don’t want to sound like a smartass, but JSC in this case means Joint-Stock Company (same as A/S in Denmark).

The company’s name seems to be “Energiya” :stuck_out_tongue:

Name something good, but at least decent Russian-made, besides Kalashnikov?

Plenty of things; don’t be racist
