21700 with Hi-Cri and type-c

Choosing the light meeting some requirements. Don’t be so strict - combining them makes the choice rather narrow and uneasy.
Generally need a flooder\universal beamshot with tir-optics or orange peel reflector. With no extra-extra-tactics design features.

Must have:

- built-in type-c charger;

- protected batteries (that’s why noctigons ain’t no going);

- hi сri led with cri 90+ and 4000-5000k;

- the simpler - the better control (yeah, I know, but Fenix is ok for me, arduino-style not much appreciated, only if it will be the only disadvantage for me);

- convenient discharge indicator (that’s why acebeam 65 isn’t good here);

- “normal” size, meaning no huge head also;

- tail-stand;

  • high quality case and finish (fenix, surefire are as example, convoy - not the one).

Better be:

- moonlight;

  • magnet tail.

For now Acebeam 65 is good, but disharge indicator is simply absent, also looking at Wuben 21, but can’t tell what Cree 70-2 version used there, have doubts it 90+ cri. What did I miss?

That is an easy search for my flashlight database. Here are 5 lights meeting your core requirements. Of those only the Wurkkos HD20 has both a sub-lumen firefly and a magnetic tail. Though the UI might be more complicated than you prefer since it has 2 emitters. I don’t know if it can fit protected batteries.

If the type C charging could be micro USB, I would suggest the Wuben TO50R (high-cri 5000K, 21700 battery, floody beam., magnet tailcap, tailstands, has battery indicator in the switch).
If type C is “mandatory”, I don’t know :zipper_mouth_face:

Unprotected batteries are perfectly safe unless you are a total moron.

Maybe I am :wink: At least I’m totally ignorant in electricity. You have any good lights in mind? I also forgot to put digital stabilization and PWM absence in first post.

My dream flashlight is 21700 battery but still something small like Zebralight SC700d, but with USB C charging, and Anduril control.

You are describing something like the loneoceans Lume X1 driver with ultra low firefly mode. Hopefully some manufacture will work with him to make one flashlight. Loneoceans made driver for Fireflies flashlight and they have very good quality USB C charging, so this sounds like it is possible.

Thrunite T2 swapped to GT FC40 4200K led. All features except tail magnet. I have one for sale, but it’s been carried and has a few scratches and dings.

It’s an interesting one, but chosen by manufacturer light steps are quite odd (from 300 right to 1700 lumen), also changing led a bit tricky - ’cause I won’t be able to do it myself

No built-in type-c - it may go with the battery with slot, but it’s not optimal.
