Amazon Deal Alerts & Discussion Thread

Doesn’t show up for me. Maybe they turned it off. I’ve seen coupons like this come/go on Amazon.

Pretty nice looking lamp, but there’s no indication of wattage. Oddly, there’s a comparison chart at the lower end of the images that shows wattage, but they don’t even include the Moko light being offered! It’s surprising what a difference 6w to 12w makes. We also don’t get a lumens output figure.

Comparison chart with other lamps shows this one is 10 Watts. Someone asked in the questions and the seller also specified 10 Watts.

I ordered one to try. $3 coupon worked for me shortly after will34 posted it.

Just got my 2 sets of LOFTER motion sensor magnetic light from the deal I posted a couple pages back. Ended up paying $29.99 for all 4 lights and I’m happy with what I got:

The good:
–3 tint to choose from, no green in WW and no blue in CW, variable ramping brightness. Excellent beam and output. No PWM in any level.
-Accurate motion sensor with option to have it turn on only when dark
-As expected it uses a 18650 inside instead of a pouch cell. There is room for another 18650 to be installed.
-Build quality is pretty good and the diffuser is not overly thick.

The bad:
–20s auto off is a bit short, I wish there was an option for 60s
-Long hold to manually turn on/off makes it impractical to use without the motion sensor.
-Micro USB charging

Despite the negatives these are the nicest motion sensing lamps I have bought, and I have tried quite a few.

Excuse the messy workspace, but sometimes I feel I get more done this way, a la AvE

They certainly are the best motion sensor night lights I’ve ever purchased, and amazing bright. The wife totally loves them!

Enough room in the LOFER light for a 21700 you think?
I converted one of the thin ones to a 1S4P 18650 external pack for a basement light. It’s a kludge, but works fine for what it is. The “large gum-stick” battery they come with is simply not up to the job. Other than that I like it.

Several other energizer lights in “Todays Deals”

21700 not possible… there is only ~2mm room with the 18650. But the MCPCB is just inserted in a slot in the extruded aluminum and you could probably fix it on top of the battery with some epoxy.

Yeah the lipo packs these movement lights normally comes with are designed to fail. Not a single one lasted me more than a year until severe capacity loss or swelling up. And even worse no way to get replacement batteries at decent prices. 18650 is the way to go…

Wuben E6 - 14,500 batteries included and a 30 % off coupon

“Compatible with two batteries: WUBEN E6 is a flashlight compatible with 14500 batteries and AA batteries. The flashlight purchased will be equipped with 14,500 batteries. Not to buy quickly yet! ! ! ! ! ”

The radio is decent enough considering the price. The included 2200mAh “Li Lon” battery tested ~1400mAh at 1A discharge. Anyone else? I don’t care if it’s just a low capacity battery but I’ll drain and throw it out if it’s damaged.

The Wuben E6 is cool. There was a better deal a while back and I got it for about $25.

The UI is severely lacking for an E-switch light. Three modes with memory and double click for strobe.

It’s got a big reflector for an AA/14500 light and that combined with the Osram emitter makes it a serious mini thrower.

Yeah, that’s my main complaint about Wubens (the TO46R being a major exception), awesome hardware, but UIs that cause slow but cumulative brain-damage.

GOLDSTON Magnifying Glass with Light,3 Color Modes Stepless Dimmable,Adjustable Swivel Arm, 5.5 Inches USB
Vipon says less but i got $19.33 in my cart…

I think that’s the same light I paid $27 for in July but brand was CUMKA. Nice deal.

While comparing, I found another magnifying lamp seemingly comparable to the one I posted above. Use code: 2PSM87S7 to bring it to ~$14

Thanks. This wasn’t in the product description, but in a “Compare With Similar Items” set at the bottom, which Amazon cobbles together on the fly. It’s kind of puzzling why they didn’t put this directly in their static chart section.

Anyway, it’s now $19…

Thanks — I already had a version of this one ( 1 is good / 2 is better ) that I made a portable Magnifier with— A block of wood base and a power bank — works great

Got the UNI-T UT210E Pro meter in. Thanks for the heads up on the sale.

Likes: Small(ish).
Matches my old Fluke at the few voltages I’ve tested.
Clamp-meter with 2A range – great for flashlights,
Non-Contact Voltage indicator, didn’t know it had this feature, (one less thing to carry).
Works with rechargeable batts (so no alkaleaks needed).
Comes with a pouch (cheap plastic) that has internal pocket for leads. Pouch has room for extra batteries.

Dislikes: Leads could be more flexible.
Wish the pouch could fit the meter with the leads attached.
Tips on leads only have a tiny contact area exposed – prevents sticking them into wall sockets to test voltages.
To measure a DC voltage takes several steps – Turn on meter with rotary dial, press function button 2 times to cycle from AC Volts to Hz to DC Volts. Wish it went right to DC Volts.
Hz won’t measure faster PWM Freq. Haven’t tested it to see what it will do yet.
Noticeably slower to display a DC voltage than my 1980s era Fluke. As in attache the leads, wait a moment, then see the voltage.

Like it, does more tricks than my old Fluke DMMs.
All the Best,
Jeff

Do you have the link to this? I went back a few pages but did not see this one, only the $18 one.

Have you got a link or code for the 210E Pro? I need a second one before I mod my old 210E, in case it does now go well since it is a software mod.
