Does anyone have both of these Convoy lights and know if the head from the Convoy 4x18A fits on the body of the 3x21A? I have seen the dimensions and they seem very close - I would love a single emitter version of the Convoy 3x21A… Thanks!

I asked Simon in the Convoy thread. It is not possible. I have the SBT90 version of 4X18 and would love to switch to the SFT40 head of the 3X21 Form time to time.

I only have the Convoy 4x18a with 90.2 LED. Having been waiting for another Convoy 3x21a with 90.2 LED, but it is out of stock now.
Looking on the Convoy website in Ali Express, both of these flashlights have the same head diametre of 69 mm. But the body tube of the 3x21a is slightly bigger at 51.8 mm, compared with 50 mm of the 4x18a. This may make their heads NOT interchangeable. And the 3x21a is slightly longer, at 158.4 mm; the 4x18a is 153 mm in length.
Benz, if you need only one, I think the 4x18a with 90.2 LED is a good choice.
You can buy the colour lens of Astrolux FT03 to fit on this Convoy. Very neat. 
I have bought one set of four colour lens and one 4x18a with 90.2 LED for my daughter for her “light safari” in her wooded neighbourhood in New Jersey.
Thanks TermsakC but I have an original Convoy M3 with XHP70.2 and I love the beam profile & hotspot of the light, I just want longer run time and in-light recharging so was looking at the 4x18A with the XHP70.2. I am not interested in the beam pattern of the 90.2 because it’s too throwy for my needs.
I now wonder though if I could buy the single 90.2 version of the 3x21A then swap the emitter to the 70.2… but if the die size is different I guess it means the reflector may not be optimised for the smaller 70.2 LED?
Hi Benz! This will not work as they are working on different voltage. SBT90 is 3 V where XHP70 needs 6 V (or 12V if wired different). You would need to replace the driver.
