Emisar D3AA is available now

Yeah, slimmer would be good. The KR1 is 35mm though, so this new thrower would probably be at least that wide.

Head diameters:

  • D4V2 28mm
  • KR4 29mm
  • KR1 35mm
  • D1 35mm
  • D4S 39mm
  • D1S 50mm
  • K9.3 52mm
  • D18 58mm
  • K1 72mm

Loneoceans used an Olga in his awesome KR1 mod. << Lume X1: 40W Single-Cell Boost Driver with Anduril2 and UDR >>

I would really love to see it be no wider than the KR1, and possibly narrower. I’ve been wanting a Noctigon FW1A for a long time. Something I can comfortably carry all the time.

This looks awesome, though:

D1V2 size would be nice, but a bit thicker since it’ll use 21700.

If it could take auxiliary lights and also house Getian FC40 that would be awesome!

I would happily do without the auxiliary lights if it means a better price. Simpler to mod too.

If TIR will be installed then aux lights could be the option. Just look at Loneocean’s build

Yes, I have both the AM and AR, and was trying to decide which one to use, thanks for helping me to make the decision.

Yes, you nailed it, 40mm head exactly.

With aux LED for sure.

Please just make the best light possible and don’t worry about the cost. None of these lights are really unaffordable and we all have lots of lights. If the new light ends up using more of our flashlight budget, it just means we buy fewer total lights. I’d rather have two or three great lights than spend the same amount on five crappy or compromised ones.

Maybe enlist the first Hank BLF collab. =]

AM = R9080

After checking both AR and AM are available in 9080 : Product Data LED | NICHIA CORPORATION

The choice between the two is rather about efficiency (AM/6V preferable).

An additional LED that could be offered with it would be the XHP50.3 HI, if it proves to be good. A 6V driver here is also preferable for the same reason and that the MCPCB is just a simple XM one.

What he said ^^^^^^^^^

Looking forward to this light! Thanks Hank!

Bonus, if it takes off the shelf TIR optic from Ledil or Gaggione, people can customize their beams if they chose to make it floodier than stock.

Sure, we will use the most high quality MCPCB and parts with it.

I hope it will retain KR1 look and not Sofirn IF22A…

Hank confirmed 40mm so it won’t be as many dreamed pocket friendly.

And that’s why we will keep paying a bit more for your awesome quality lights, keep it up mate

as much as I would love to see the AR being used for the 12v compatibility of the Xhp35 HI (3000k hi cri and 4000k hi cri), and also possible mods with the gt fc40 leds.... - I do like the sound of higher efficiency in the 6v variant and the compatibility of the xhp50.3 HI

my first vote would definitely be for 12v b35AR, because xhp5.3 can be made this way too. but If I am in the minority here please let me know..
