New Release-Sofirn SP10 V3.0

The last pic in the link includes a phone next to the light, the phone indicated 51%. Does this light use some kind of NFC to read the charge state? Not indicated in the docs on the page, maybe a size reference?

Its about time AA lights came with USB charging.

I’d say size reference, other advanced tech is probably out of this light’s scope

See Enogear/Fireflies

It’s not time at all for that. With that tiny host there no more space for charger and ports. I prefer small size. Also dual chemistry is not possible for now I think.

It’s not all that tiny (88mm long, 20.5mm diameter). Yeah I’d rather not have a charger, but make the light smaller. There are 14500’s with built in chargers (usb port directly in the cell) if you want that.

I want the Anduril version of this light, not too excited by the non-Anduril versions, main item of concern is accidental switch activation. I hope the switch protection is increased.

Then some jackass would stick in an alkaleak or LFP cell, ruin the light and cell, then go bitching about it, returning the light as “defective”, and leaving 1-star reviews.

Guaranteed.

What color temperature is the emitter? Are there any choices?

What are the levels and runtimes?

How low is moonlite with AA and 14500 respectively?

Is moonlite first in the sequence, or last as in the bassackwards SP10S?

So far this is a pig in a poke. There is just not enough information, period.

Well, we need to confirm the Anduril 2.0 works well first.

No, it's just for size comparing.

5000K 90CRI LED, so far it's the only option. 4000K and 2700K are available soon.

Levels and Runtime

You can check moonlight output with AA and 14500 respectively through the sheet above.

Operation Instruction

I hope the information is helpful.

This UI should be standard on e-switches. Well with regards to accessing moonlight, med mode, and turbo at least. Only one ‘command’ from off to access each of the 3 modes.

Thank you Barry for clarifying the UI.

Glad to see you got rid of long press for off. That made my 2 other SP10 unusable. That and ultra low moonlight being in the rotation.

Sofirn / Barry: is this available through Amazon ES or DE?

I wanna try one, but in this case I prefer faster shipping.

This version is not available on Amazon es and de currently.

I have this light, and the long press from off to get to the “ultra low moonlight mode” which is said to be 1 lumen is more like 10 or 15 lumens. This seems to be the case with every light I’ve ever bought that claims to have such a low light level—-it never turns out to be true.

I’d also like to point out that locating the button in the dark by just feeling for it is extremely frustrating. It’s nearly impossible to find. I even turned the clip to be on the opposite side of the light so it can be a guide to find the button, but the clip gets turned out of position so easily that it’s useless for that.

When you use 14500 battery to turn on Moonlight, it would be brighter than that of using AA batery

Thank for you feedback about button, we would make further improvement.

I just did a comparison of the moonlight mode using the 14500 battery and a 1.2 volt NiMH battery. They both appeared to have the exact same brightness in moonlight mode. Also, the specifications for both batteries show it to be 1 lumen. However, when I compare it to the light put out by a 9 LED light (those cheap ones that use 3AAA batteries and cost a dollar), I’d say the moonlight mode is about 2/3 as bright. The 9LED is said to put out around 15 lumens, so that means the moonlight mode of the SP10 v3 is around 10 lumens, whether using AA or 14500 battery.
