Late Night Talk Show discussion thread (no politics, please)

Welcome to the Late Night Talk Show discussion thread

Please, no politics.

That means no discussing politics, or making reference to specific political talk shows.

(There is a difference between a late night talk show and a political talk show.)

Discussing politics on BLF is not allowed, and usually ends poorly.

...

Here's what I think of the Late Night Talk Shows that I've seen.

Superb: Lights Out with David Spade

Great: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Colbert Report, Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson

Good: Daily Show with Trevor Noah, Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Nightly Show, Chelsea Lately, Late Show with David Letterman, All of Conan O'Brien's shows so far, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Real Time with Bill Maher, Late Night with Seth Meyers, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee

Not so good: Late Late Show with James Corden, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Arsenio Hall Show

Damn, half of those I never even heard of.

You left out Art Bell.

You are so Biased.

I have polish neighbours, he is talking the whole night. Loud. I think I will have never again the desire to listen to other people talking to each other. It’s mostly nonsense anyway.

The problem in the world today is communication. Too much communication.

-Homer Simpson, inspired by W.C. Fields

They are all political.

Most of them, yes, but not all of them.

Hence the "no politics" warning.

Best were the Daily Show with Jon Stewart and the Colbert Report.

I thought Johnny Carson was good too.

Don’t watch any now.

Back when it was on, I used to watch “Poker After Dark”. They did lots of talking, but doubt that qualifies as a “talk show”.
