Could you elaborate please? I have one 12-group driver installed a year ago in a M21B which i don’t use very often and I notice that it sometimes resets to group 1 with mode memory, despite me setting it to group 6 without mode memory. Is this the bug you are talking about, or is it something else?
Couple dollars more for the 12-mode…says $18 and change for me. I wonder if he’ll offer just the driver soon. The multi-angle-pattern knurling on this just isn’t grabbing me but I like the blue and red colors…trying not to click the buy button.
Hank - someone correct me if I’m wrong but the current 12-mode driver is basically like the previous Biscotti versions - he borrowed/adapted that firmware when he moved to a new driver manufacturer not too long ago.
The 4 mode only has 4 modes, can’t really do anything more with them.
I see that Simon is calling it a 13 mode driver now… It can be configured with the following mode groups.
——————-sub-option 1.1 (normal-flash 1 time) : tap the switch to select mode group 1 (1%、10%、30%、100%)
——————-sub-option 1.2 (normal-flash 2 times) : tap the switch to select mode group 2 (1% 10%、35%、100%、strobe、biking、batcheck)
——————-sub-option 1.3 (normal-flash 3 times) : tap the switch to select mode group 3 (1, 10, 35, 100 ,this group is the same as the first group, in the next batch this group will be deleted)
——————-sub-option 1.4 (normal-flash 4 times) : tap the switch to select mode group 4 (100%、35%、10%、1%)
——————-sub-option 1.5 (normal-flash 5 times) : tap the switch to select mode group 5 (1%、20%、100%、strobe、biking、batcheck、sos)
——————-sub-option 1.6 (normal-flash 6 times) : tap the switch to select mode group 6 (1%、20%、100%)
——————-sub-option 1.7 (normal-flash 7 times) : tap the switch to select mode group 7 (100%、20%、1%)
——————-sub-option 1.8 (normal-flash 8 times) : tap the switch to select mode group 8(1%、10%、50%、strobe、biking、batcheck、sos)
——————-sub-option 1.9 (normal-flash 9 times) : tap the switch to select mode group 9 (1%、10%、50%)
——————-sub-option 1.10 (normal-flash 10 times) : tap the switch to select mode group 10 (50%、10%、1%)
——————-sub-option 1.11 (normal-flash 11 times) : tap the switch to select mode group 11 (20%、100%)
——————-sub-option 1.12 (normal-flash 12 times) : tap the switch to select mode group 12(100%、20%)
——————-sub-option 1.13 (normal-flash 12 times) : tap the switch to select mode group 13(100%)
I was messaging with Simon on ali about an order and I tossed out the suggestion that rather than deleting this duplicate mode, maybe he could make it something like 10% 35% 50% 100% + Batt Check. Mostly so that there would be an option to have the batt check without including strobes. He wasn’t interested at all, just repeated that he’d delete the mode entirely. I haven’t tried this new driver at all yet but should have a couple of them showing up in the next couple days…curious to see how it compares with the standard older 4-mode in the T2.
So, received my light. Unfortunately, it’s a little wonky. Purposely bought the light because I could set it to 100% and my wife won’t complain when she grabs it from the cupboard. (She’s not a fan of those “complicated lights.”
Anyway, first it was just that mode 13 didn’t work. Setting it to 13 defaulted to the same as mode 1. So, I decided to try mode 12. It’s only 2 levels, so I figured I could get away with it. Well, now setting it to mode 12 magically introduced biking strobe into the mix. Somehow I have 100, 20, biking. Go figure.
Side note, this light has the duplicate mode 3 & 4, so it’s not the version that Simon alludes to having that issue fixed in the future.
I messaged the aliexpress store. I hope he responds. I’ve had decent luck reaching out before, so I’m hoping we can get this figured out. Heck, I’d even take a (tested & working) driver at this point.
I'm with you. My T3 arrived Thursday and was DOA. I haven't given up on it but, but at this point, I have tightened & loosened all the segments, swapped batteries, etc. without success.
In the past, Simon has taken good care of me so, I'm not overly concerned at this point.
I'm thinking at this point in time, my SP10S is a superior flashlight with the Skillhunt coming in a close second. However, having never seen the beam of this model makes that statement a bit premature.
I liking the beam pattern and tint. Seems to be high(er) cri, so it’s great for me indoors around the house. If it weren’t for the mode issue, I’d really like it. There aren’t that many lights that can take 14500 and AA, so That gives it a huge plus for me.
Fingers crossed this gets resolved soon. I’ll come back with an update.
