The Story of SC31 Family

I really like my sc31 pro with its nice rubber switch and UI. Great pocketable EDC. Only thing I would change is smooth reflector though. OP would suit it better with a wider hotspot. Also different leds choice would be nice.
As for the T version I will probably get one when warmer leds are released. Only 6500k is a pity.

I would prefer a tail switch and better sustained heat handling (250lm is not good).

The old/original SC31 was a very friendly light, the perfect light for The Muggle™.

Brightness was good, switch was easy to find, UI was simple, was very hard to hurt yourself.

The magnetic tail cap is in stock, which is suitable for SC31 Pro and SP40. Now black and green are available now, blue will be available soon. CLICK TO CHECK

Nice!!! Now can we please have Green 18350 tubes as well??? (Sofirn already makes the short tube for green SP40, so this shouldn’t be a big problem!?)

Will you offer SFT40 option for SC31T?

I’d prefer the 10mm shorter length of SC31T over Wurkkos FC12…
But maybe FC12 has a deeper reflector?

Yes to SFT40.

I’ve come full circle. Back to simple is better. I don’t, and never did use any of the andruil functions other than ramp. The last convoy I ordered is a simple off/on 4 mode. Works perfect.

SFT40 needs a deeper reflector, otherwise it can't produce long-distance light.

we don't have plan for that, if you like 18350 tube, SF40 is a good choice for you.

Is the strobe on the SC31T constant or alternating frequency?
It would be better if the turbo and strobe mode were also memorized.

I would like to see a single tail e-switch version of the SC31 Pro with Anduril 2.

Yup, me too!

You mean with an inner tube like a FW3A?

You guys make an amazing product and are always innovative

Yes, it would need an inner tube. It would be very popular.

Maybe Sofirn could pull it off better than Lumintop did. Seems like a lot of moving parts just to get a tail E switch though. It would be nice if Sofirn made a slick little 18650 light under 100mm long with charging.

SC31T strobe is alternating frequency. SC31pro will switch to Anduril2 when it's the right time.

A 10cm long 18650 light? I am think about it. TIR len to make head short, tail E switch makes short tail. But I am not sure if it can be under 10cm.

You are losing sales to light painting photographers by using alternating frequency strobes. Constant frequency is more preferable.

A SC31 Pro but with a tail e-switch instead of side switch would be very popular.

Probably not. The shortest 18650 lights I got are the MH20s (there are some shorter ones, but not by much), but it’s a side-clicky. Any tailcap-with-switch eats way too much length with the movable parts and spring.

You’re almost at 7cm just with the cell and contacts. Add springs at both ends, make allowances for protected cells and even button-tops, and it’s even more. Even a shallow TIR is at least 1cm high. Add a pillar/shelf for the LED+pcb, a driver, etc., and it’s a tight fit.

The MH20 gets away with some length-trimming because it needs button-top cells, as the contact patch on the driver is just a shallow Au-plated button, not a spring, so that’s only a few mm vs lots more for a compressed spring at the driver.

I think some Folomovs were just a few mm shorter, but can’t recall details.

A switch in the tail? Probably not easy.
