Got my purple FC12 today.
Build quality and performance wise this is a great deal at under $30 battery included. I don’t know how it’s done but you can charge it without engaging the tail switch, which makes the integrated charging so much more convenient. I’m actually ok with the length, thought it would be longer.
However, the UI is seriously flawed:
-In ramping mode single click does nothing, would be nice if you could use it to enter standby off with the side switch lit up.
-In contrast, in stepped mode holding the e switch does nothing.
-Double click only enters turbo, but can’t double click again to return to previous mode, instead you need to single click.
-Turbo is not memorized in stepped mode, rendering this quite useless as a tactical light with the forward switch. It ramps too fast in the lower modes but I’m forced to use it anyways because it’s the only way to memorize turbo.
The FC12 has amazing potential to be used as a dual switch light, it just needs a few tweaks on the UI. I wish there could be a standby mode where the tail switch is engaged and the light can remain in standby mode ready to be used with the side switch.
I don’t have a preference either way about standby mode. It would be nice to have for those that want it.
But turbo NEEDS to be in the main stepped mode group, so it can be easily put into memory.
As will34 mentions, this light is not very useful as a tactical light, as the only way to memorize turbo is to use smooth ramp, ramp all the way to turbo, then turn the light off.
Also, by the way, smooth ramp is WAY too slow.
I prefer stepped ramp anyway, but I am forced to use smooth ramp if I want to be able to memorize turbo.
Still. I love this little light. I don’t think it’s too long at all, it’s very similar length to a lot of lights in its class.

I think its possible for Wurkkos to implement Sofirn C8F-21700 ui; it can memorized Turbo while in stepped mode,(off via TS while turbo is engaged)…
And for the side switch version its good if manufacturer can implement anduril/narsil type ui and Sofirn SP35-21700 type of ui for more utilitarian use. just my 2cents,Cheers
FC12 New colors release
Is “champagne” the same ano color as the chameleon-color SP32A? That one’s pretty kewl. Depending on the lighting, it can look wood-brown, gray, tan, etc. 
This is honestly the most interesting color in a long time, maybe ever. Now we need it for the sp10 pro
Definitely. Some asked me a ways back if he could buy it from me, and I said nuh-uh. Think it was because of the color, not the light itself.

If the FC12 only had a side switch and as a result was ~12-18mm shorter, and was available with sft40 AND ALL OF THOSE COLORS you mentioned, I I would buy at least 5 :)) :))
also with Anduril KR4 Anduril 2, either one!
i really want to like the fc12, the purple is one of the nicest colors I have for flashlight, but the user interface and very long body length make it unusable for me. I bought for my wife bc of the awesome purple but it's much too big for her, and I don't use it at all because the UI, length, and tail switch for on/off..
PLEASE MAKE THE FC12s, wjth side switch only and in Christmas RED and GUN METAL GRAY and CHAMPAGNE!

I am also very interested in the FC12S for the same reason because it is now too long, I would like it at least 20mm shorter and I would like a magnet in the tail.

I like the idea of the TIR optic, please make it a readily available SIZE for those of us who may want to try different optics in the future after we buy the NEW FC12s.
Optic with sft40 in this small light i think would be better match than the reflector, although reflector is still nice too.
There is company on AliX that makes (or sells) small optics - Yajiamei, although I don't know if there optics are Deep Enough for the FC12 deep reflector cavity. But they 17mm wide that work great in Olight S2R2.
I have the fc12 and I love it. What sold me on the fc12 vs. the fc11 was the higher lumen output and throw distance. However I would find the magnetic tail cap to be of much better use to me. In conclusion, the sooner the fc12s is out the better.
Wurkkos - how about a tail e-switch only 18650 tube light with Anduril 2?
