Noctigon KR1 which 18350 battery?

Hi I’ve just ordered a KR1 (W2), and decided to get the 350 tube for a laugh. But now I realise I don’t know if I need a protected/unprotected type or which brand. I have unprotected Samsung 30q’s for the long tube. Any advice please.

You can do as you wish but 18350 batteries are quite limited in model types. If your mind is set, vapecell has some options.

Vapcell has one they rated at 9A. KeepPower has a very similar one. You can probably still find some Efest high drain cells that can produce similar current, but I don’t think any of them had comparable capacity.

There are some out there with higher mAh capacity, but generally lower current output. The KR1 should have a fairly high current cell, so the Vapcell and KeepPower high discharge models are the ones I would look for.

Actually your reply is not completely accurate, and it may misleading concerning the 18350s for the Noctigon KR1.

This is Hank Wang’s (the maker of Noctigon flashlights) reply concerning the use of protected or unprotected 18350 batteries:

HOWEVER:
The OP on that thread said that the orbtronic fit, with a slight modification, in this case, not using the lanyard ring in the flashlight.
Check: KR1 won't turn on.

As for the suggestion, Vapcell is, indeed, probably one of the best solutions, currently!

Hi guys thanks for the help it was mostly the information about protected unprotected cells I needed. But brand and supplier info is appreciated as well. Thanks all
