New to this forum and need help creating a lamp based on flashlight tech / your knowledge with lenses and LED combinations.
We have a lighting design that requires a tight, round beam, with no overspill, 3-4° region, 90 CRI up.
The distance of travel is for the new design based on a previous design of ours 70cm hitting a 50mm convex mirror. and then 70-100cm to a surface, so we are not talking your usual 1 mile throw here.
This is how our first design looks like to give you an idea:
I have of course looked to source within the traditional lighting industri as well as show lighting, but our application seems to fall between the two.
Given how much specialist knowledge, modding and prototype/one off design there is amongst you on this forum I am hoping you can advice my of a solution?
Perhaps even an off the shelve product that I can run tests with?
Visually an Aspheric lens would be very good, but beam quality and tightness is of course all important.
It seems like a small die emitter (Nichia E17A?) under a small aspheric is what you want. Additionally, an aperture after the optic can further shape and tune the beam in addition to eliminating periphery aberrations.
