What Scares You The Most?

Finals my last year as an undergrad. Got in the car and no brakes. - I was still in the driveway so nothing terrible happened.

My wife—-When she’s shopping on-line :money_mouth_face:

The Audi would be worse i think its a DCT but with how much power its running it could be a racing box and yea most likely an actual ebrake (electric park brake) another junk feature lol. Its also 4wd which should slow the car down faster but most likely blew the box and the car just free rolled…

The lesson here is don’t push the limits because then your pushing fate as well.
My car is stock and has done great by me for 15 years and i hope 5-10 more.
Still on the original clutch.

My wife might think that about me! :innocent:

Global cooling/ice age. I dread what the next one will do to this heavily populated advanced world, it will rearrange and destroy humanity and nations to a degree that will create an entirely new world.

Dying from the cancer or related problems I’m dealing with before I’m able to complete arrangements for my mother’s care after I’m gone. I’m currently lying in a hospital bed after suffering a nephrostomy tube blockage recovering from the resulting kidney damage and waiting for another unit of blood - the third since being admitted on 10/10.

Sorry to hear that. Hope things work out for you. Good luck.

My prayers are with you. Get healthy soon.

@ tekwyzrd ……. Geeez man, good luck dealing with all on your plate. I know it can seem overwhelming

Sorry to hear of your issues tekwzrd. Thoughts and prayers your way buddy. Any health tips you’ve learned or that you think we could benefit from that you’d care to pass on to us?

Still trying to get past the first hurdle - approval of the pet scan. Three requests and three denials by insurance. The bladder cancer is bad enough but the inguinal hernia and hydrocele they want to do surgery for at the same time as the eventual bladder surgery are unbearable. Anything over 5 minutes on my feet and the hydrocele becomes very painful. Sitting is almost as bad. The urologist said it’s the biggest hydrocele he’s ever seen.

If I do come up with any tips or ways to help cope I’ll pass them on. 4:05 am and awake waiting for 4:30 pain meds.

Pick your poison:

  • Dying unmarried & leaving behind grieving parents without anyone to support them
  • Your offspring turns out to be an unbearable manchild that exists only to ruin your retirement life looking after them

Nobody just “turns out to be” an unbearable manchild. It’s all about upbringing.

Potato Bugs/Jerusalum Crickets. Those things are freaky.

A hydrocele, wow, that sounds really nuts! (I hope I made you chuckle)

Now that you mention all of that, the thought of living with severe pain scares me a lot. Dying, meh, no big deal. But I’m a big wuss about pain.

May your pain med doses always be efficacious.

So sorry to hear that. Sending prayers your way for healing, rest and approval of your pet scan. I work in the insurance industry and know it can be hard to get authed for some tests. I think you will eventually get out though.

Hang in there.
