I agree. 90% off is…cute. Though there does seem to be a high demand for battery charger power banks. I bought one. I would like to know of better options for BCPBs. I bought an Astrolux MC02 but it doesn’t have a cover to contain the batteries, so… rubber bands I guess.

The size of it seems off putting for EDC. “”3.3ft(length)× 0.55ft(diameter) ×0.5ft(head)“”

Doesn’t look half bad really. The specs say zoomable but I don’t think it is.

Its not zoomable,I have it.

How’s the over all quality and UI?

How do you like it?
What’s the UI like?
Thanks

In the Q & A section the seller says the battery has been upgraded to 21700

In one of the exploded views it shows an “optical lens ” I wonder does that mean TIR ?

This is a heck of a deal for a decent small hammer and good punches. Gedore is of course a highly respected company and manufacturer with a huge range of tools and products…the “Red” line is their effort at more affordable tools that may or may not be made in Germany (often Taiwan) but aren’t typical import crap. $19 for the kit and all (I think) the punches are made in Germany…seem like their regular line of punches which I have a few of already and they’ve been great although maybe not the same as Starrett or some other US made punches. The hammer is umarked but made in Taiwan, well done but a little rough and not as nicely finished…handle is a rather rough ash but also well done. Honestly it’s a steal just for the hammer, center, pin, and drift…most people don’t use cutting or coping chisels these days but they’re handy to have around. The hammer is 10oz, which is an ideal size for smaller detailed or hobby work…I’ll probably turn the handle into a stubby on this one. Nice foam in the box that could be repurposed or plugged into a tool chest drawer. Great buy. May not last long as I believe these were either very limited production and distribution and/or have been discontinued.

By the way, the 4mm (hair larger than 5/32”) pin punch in this kit is far too large for flashlight use.

If you were looking for a good little hammer like this you can buy the same Red version for around the same price as this kit, or $5-$10 more for their standard lines. Almost bought this little Workpro model, China-made and very inferior steel (and handle/handle attachment) but for $6 it’s a great bargain and fine for light use.

Thanks, ordered one right away. This is an amazing deal. I paid $33 for just the hammer (but it was the one with the red shroud but still), gedore is one of the best name in German tools. And it comes with Germany made chisels?! That alone is worth $20.

For what it is im more than happy with it. Battery is definitely not to rated mah, I think it was about 800 off. UI is high, med, low single click. If you hold the button it goes to turbo. It does drop down on turbo. Ill post some comparison shots to my edc18.

I think you’ll be pleased. The chisels I got are exactly as shown in the photo. I know that often the German companies don’t bother with “made in” and it’s just a given that they are made in Germany but these days - and in a “Red” kit - I’m never sure what to believe. The lack of “made in” on the smaller punches may just be due to space constraints….Starrett does some similar things here and there. They have an octagonal shank/stock, which I thought was interesting first time I got some. They hold up pretty well although some haven’t quite been ground square and the funky orange finish isn’t super durable. The length on their pin punches is a little longer than anything from US companies, which is why I bought into them originally. Pretty good stuff. Later tonight I’m going to smooth up the hammer face and bevels since they’re a tad rough. The peen is actually correctly formed on this one, too….that’s like a rarity these days. I won’t be whaling on this teeny hammer of course but I’m curious how their round wedge holds up with a wood handle and no resin…seems like a pretty smart design how it expands in the head.

The Bosch GLM165-25G laser measure currently has a $25 off deal, making it about $105 before tax.

Received mine today. The UI is different than you posted - single click L/M/H/Off. Long press from anywhere, on or off, goes to Turbo. Double click from anywhere, on or off, goes to strobe. My only quibble is that if you single click you have to go through L/M/H to turn it off. No memory, either.

Can’t speak to actual battery capacity or lumen output, but it did charge the battery to 4.19v and hold it there. Button changed from red to blue, not green, when it was fully charged - no biggy. For the $21 I paid, I’m very satisfied.
