The light is brand new, old stock, I only opened it to do the LED swap, and to repack control ring grease with Nyogel 767a, for a very firm damping rate, that will not change inadvertently. Requires deliberate pressure to rotate the ring, and then it stays where you put it. The tailswitch is Forward clicky, which allows for Momentary On, at the Preset Rotary Dial position… No strobe.

CRI Ra tested at 96, Tint DUV tested at –0.0051 (Beautifully Rosy).

The stock reflector produces a very tight hotspot (because it is originally for XPG LED). Beam is excellent except when 2” away from a wall, a center cross is visible. This is normal and unavoidable, and exists also with the stock LED, on right:

Output ranges from 0.16 minimum to 200 initial lumens maximum on 16340. Can also use, CR123, and if you buy the AA extender (available for $15), then also works on Eneloop (expect max output on AA and CR123 to be lower than LiIon).

This light is essentially identical in function to a V11r. The differences are the body design, and the more focused reflector. (V11r has an XML2 reflector).
