[POLL] Do You Use A Cell Phone Case?

Yes, and the thicker and rubbery-er, the better!

Iā€™m still using the Pixel 3A and havenā€™t had a single issue. Iā€™ve always used a case. It just feels better with one on, more secure in my hand.

Anyone ever use "Zizo" cases? Their design are quite unique and their cases are really tough. This is the one I use. One time riding the scooter, it flew right off and slid on the road for a good 20' or so! iPhone was all okay. I think it landed and hit the pavement the right way.

Bolt Series

I have a tempered glass screen protector and a cell phone case.

My cell phone is in excellent shape because of these inexpensive measures.

I was using a [ZIZO Static Series Built in Kickstand iPhone 7 iPhone 6s Case Red ] + tempered glass screen when I had my bike crash (post 10)
Good case. Donā€™t find any personal use for the kickstand.

Okay I get it, you must be a txt ER.

No case needed on my last 4 Kyocera phones. Starting in 2014. They all had a sapphire screen which is pretty much scratch-proof. They have all been waterproof. The current one is rated at 1.5 meters dropping onto concrete. 2 meters under water for 30 minutes. The last 2 you can control the camera and video while under water. The current one is only available on Verizon.

The Static was kinda too smooth for me but thatā€™s a good one too. Thatā€™s my pet peeve about this case. The kickstand rod is metal so no problem but the plastic latches the rod sits in at each end are too small and break all the time. :person_facepalming:

Very thin, clear rubbery type over here.

And my cell phone case, too.

I think this is a classic ā€œEasy but not easy.ā€ On one hand itā€™s nice to be holding a phone without a case. Itā€™s the way the design studio meant it to be. Youā€™re reminded of the tech and design every time one goes to use it. But on the other hand if I drop it, the glass most likely will crack. :money_mouth_face: Plus most phones feel slippery.

Over here in Singapore, new phones usually come with fancy phone cases. Mine is a two-year-old Huawei Mate 20 Pro, which came with a ā€œleatherā€ folder case.

Giving a free case is a good selling point.

Not really.

I don't text or use my phone very much, but I have dropped it a couple of times.

for a flip-phone?

Cases for me are mainly to improve the grip I can have on the phone. I donā€™t have butter fingers but it gives me confidence.
My screen protector is mainly to prevent the oleophobic coating from disappearing on the screen. Not sure what caused it to disappear on my samsung note 5 but just trying not to repeat that from reoccurring.

Yes and no. Newer phone (Jan 2017) has one of those ā€œwalletā€ type holders, and both it and the phone still look showroom new.

10bux each, actually got 2 of ā€™em, figuring the first one would go to The Hell and I could use the second one afterwards. Gnope, still pristine condition.

My poor 12yo Nuron doesnā€™t have a case, being a candybar phone, so of course looks like bobofettā€™s helmet. Still works, even though the button-thingies kinda fell off the sides.

I donā€™t abuse my stuff and tend to baby them, but even in this case (har!), the critter just ends up jostled around, and shiite happens.

Other than sliding off a table onto the carpet, I donā€™t recall dropping either one, like, ever.

I used this case in red for note 20 ultra. Really good for drop and grip but no wireless charging. Great price.

Now use Otterbox defender which is not lasting as long.

I also use the niteize lanyard system when fishing because I dropped a note 10 in a lake.

Any one use a lanyard? Phone seems too easy to drop when taking picture over railings etc.

Always have with a tempered glass screen protector.

I always buy outright once a year the flagship model so would like to keep the highest value for it when I sell it on.

Yea Iā€™ve been buying these Spigen cases like this one. For only $13 it works amazingly well and is a much better buy than any service plan. They donā€™t add much bulk and have saved my phones from some pretty rough drops onto hardwood floors, concrete, tile, and more. This is my third or fourth case from them now; I check to see if they make a case for a new phone before I buy it.

Interesting. And these Japanese phones have no issues on US networks? Maybe Iā€™ll check them out next time I need a new phone.
