I have a SkyRC B6 mini and a few Accucell6 models (same thing)
Only NiMh and NiCd have “Cycle” options.
However, I occasionally want to do a discharge cycle on LiIo batts just to see what the capacity of the battery is.
But I want the B6 mini to automatically fully recharge the battery and not leave it fully discharged overnight.
The reason being I have a large stockpile of these batteries and want them to cycle automatically overnight unattended so
that in the morning I have the discharge capacity, and the battery is restored to full (or storage) charge.
Anyone found a hack to do this with LiIo batteries on a B6 minin / Accucell6 ?
Do you have a rig that will automatically charge then discharge, then recharge (fully or to storage) a multi cell Lithium battery unattended?
(18650 and similar cells not included, There are a number of chargers that will do this with those cells)
Sometimes I want to know what the capacity of a multi cell lithium battery is. But I don’t want to have to closely monitor the battery during the process.
For example if I do it at night I don’t want to fall asleep with it fully discharged.
Right now, I have to manually charge then manually discharge the pack, making sure to be on hand monitoring the pack as is reaches full discharge state.
I don’t know of any way to do this or any equipment capable of doing this unattended. Do you?
Surely there must be a hobby charger that will do this?
I have an iCharger 106B+ that I have not used for years and iirc, it has a charge-discharge or discharge-charge to full or storage. 3v to 4.2v, up to ten cycles.
