Hi all, I just took apart my Convoy H1 219B with the TIR reflector to see if I could fix a short, and I noticed that the TIR is not touching the MCPCB, and the MCPCB appears to be held in place with only thermal paste. This definitely doesn’t seem correct as I’m pretty sure the TIR should be pushed up against the LED’s 3535 footprint and centering it while simultaneously holding it against the back of the light. Has anyone else noticed this? This seems like a completely flawed design… Here’s…

2. Also, do you have any plans for adding charging to more lights, such as the M21B?
3. Will the Remote Tail Switch for the L21B also work for other lights, such as the M21B?

2. uh ,no plan ,how about M21E? i will add a link of M21E with SFT40 / KW CULPM1.TG in two days

Thanks a lot for your help! Unfortunately the M21E is too big/wide for what I have in mind. The M21B is just perfect other than the lack of onboard USB-C charging.

Maybe others in this thread could chime in if they have an interest in additional USB-C charging lights? I do understand it’s never a simple process to redesign things, but perhaps if there’s a significant community interest and demand, we could see new lights with USB-C charging later down the road?

I will have another flashlight similar to M21E. The head is slightly smaller than M21E, but slightly larger than M21B. It uses the same driver as M21E.

Simon, I see that Pioneman K80 has been released. It appears to be identical to the thrower you are working on in this post, and I noticed Pioneman has many models that are almost identical to Convoy models. How is Pioneman related to Convoy? Can we expect the Convoy version of Pioneman K80 to be released soon? Has the low current issue with the driver been corrected? Will there be any differences between the Pioneman and Convoy versions of this light?

Pioneman is my friend’s brand.
I am going to release this flashlight, but I hope to use a driver with a higher current.
If the increase in range is not obvious, the larger diameter head seems meaningless.

no, SFT20 is not compatible with XPL MCPCBs

Next week I will produce some 16*1.5mm copper plates. It can be used to raise the LED position.
I can’t find a suitable TIR lens at present, and all the lenses will be much lower in height than the reflector.

Have the group issues with the 13 group AA/14500 driver been fixed yet? The T3 and bare drivers I got have incorrect groups 12 and 13. I wanted to order a couple more drivers if they aren’t still messed up.

To you maybe, zo me and others with a specific work demand yes.
As i mentioned previously in this thread, i’m running Nichia B35AM in S21B with 6V/3A 12group driver and a lack of 40-50% mode in the middle is causing me a headache cause i’m constantly switchi g from 20% to 100%. Higher medium output would do the trick. I need 800lumens and 400Lm is just not enough and 1800lm is too much.
